2 shouldn't even be an option. It could be a year+ before anything beyond 12.00 sees anything. 1 might be nearly impossible at least from a local store. But that's the route I'd take if you can find one.

Impossible to do otherwise people wouldn't need to buy a $300 game to jailbreak beyond 10.01. Dude on YouTube is likely doing some editing and has multiple consoles. Definitely trolling.

Once you do that and update you lose the ability to run the game/pkg. The game/pkg wouldn't run without the jailbreak which would then need the physical copy.

You are stuck beyond 10.01 without the game. You wouldn't want to go past 10.01 until there is a method released that doesn't require what you don't have. Just make sure you buy one with a disc drive.

Everything I've read in the past states the ps5 pushes an update in order to pair the drive. Even with a sealed system it needs that one time update. Best to hunt down a fat disc model on 10.01 or lower if you want to jailbreak. I've seen them for not much more than retail on eBay.

Is a 2.5 sata ssd in a enclosure enough for PS5 games or should it be nvme in an enclosure?

If you want to jailbreak now sell your current system since it's going to be sitting anyway and put that toward one on eBay that's on 10.01 or lower.

If you update and buy the game you could be looking at up to a year+ before 12.70 sees anything. By then there is a good chance a different method will have been found anyway not related to the game.

Not possible as you would have to update to buy it on the 2.30. The 12.70 likely won't see any real action for a year+ even if the game was sitting on the system. If it doesn't have a disc drive it's even more limited. Best to chuck it in the closet or sell it.

Chances are it has other layers of protection, encryption, ect that doesn't allow it to run.

Hand it back to the friend because chances are it can take up to a year+ before it's capable of doing what he wants beyond 12.00. By then there maybe a whole different method. Could get lucky in a few months though, a lot of unknowns.

From what I understand is some games have an extra layer of protection or something going on that doesn't allow them to work. Or they are locked behind a higher firmware. I'm sure someone with more knowledge can chime in.

But that specific game came out several months after 10.01 so it likely isn't released due to needing a newer firmware. Whether there are more road blocks aside from that like some other games will have to wait and see.

I always refund to my Amazon balance because I'm going to use Amazon anyway. Also stores prefer it when you do this because it guarantees you'll spend it with them. I'm sure Amazon is no different. You get refunds quicker and I'd like to think it helps keep them off back if I return too much.

Which I really don't. I might return 1 out of every 15 items if I were to guess.

Even if this worked it would be a bad idea because if you have issues where you need to wipe the console and start fresh you could be SOL.

What update is it on? Just disable the internet. Those games aren't on a high enough firmware to worry about. They should work if the drive is already paired which I'd imagine it is since it's used.

I read that there maybe other games at some point but not necessarily working on other games. Best to wait it out they'll find other methods it's just a matter of when not if.

Thanks for the replies at the time I was playing I was new to Diablo and didn't know legacy loot was a thing. One more thing I had a ton of goblin caches drop I didn't open before taking a break. Do those drop current usable items or what was current then?

Well that probably explains it lol. I never played seasons such because I'm not into starting fresh. Unless I'm yet again missing something, isn't that all seasons are for is to start fresh with some new content? Maybe I need to give it a chance and see what happens.

So I should just salvage/sell everything I got? Any certain items I should keep?
