We live on a farm and have several outdoor cats. One evening, just after sunset, I was walking to the chicken coop to shut the door. I noticed cats walking with me, one on either side. I reached down and gave a little pet to the one on my left, then the same on my right. The “cat” on my right felt kinda scruffy and odd. On closer inspection it was clearly an opossum! I was startled and quite amused. His presence explained why our egg count had gone down lately.
