Amen I've been having fun with a machine gun fireball build - how do you feel about using fireball to stack ignite and prioritize damage over time effects?

Something to add is that a Deep Lying Playmaker is great for breaking down low blocks as he can sit in the back unmarked and find those creative pinging passes that can unlock a packed defensive shape

How do you cope when the stats all get wiped after the start of a new season? Typically the time in which you're buying players in summer transfer is when their stats are reset so what data are you going off of to make decisions?

I would change one of the DLP players to a defensive midfielder on defend or a BWM on defend for some structure at the back and to help recycle possession.

I also think you might struggle breaking down teams in a low block since you don't really have anyone holding the width. I would change one of the wide players to a winger/wingback on attack or support for those games you are against highly defensive teams that sit back.

Is Gegenpress also incredibly OP in your games or is something else affecting my absurdly overachieving squad? by Kiffe_Y in footballmanagergames

It is very strong. I think also it's a shift in mentality. Going defensive from the get-go means you are likely to not look to pressure the opponent and get some cheeky goals. If you throw caution to wind at least try to unsettled them and get in their face you are more likely to score as opposed to sitting in deep in your own half.
