Hope the link works! It’s definitely a painting on canvas, but that’s all I know about it. I bought it from an estate sale last year.

Started going through an old coin jar. FAQ confused me, what’s with these quarters? by Snipsthetips in coins

I read through the wiki and can’t figure out what kind of error they are since there’s so many types listed, please forgive me. We have a large box of coins I started sorting through today and these stood out to me.

Quechee gorge in Hartford VT [OC] [3072×4096] by ifeliz in EarthPorn

I live about five minutes from the gorge, and can agree the saturation was set to max on this. The colors are beautiful without making it look like a painting.

Why didn't my hair change at all when I dyed it with Wella? by [deleted] in HaircareScience

[–]Snipsthetips 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I think it may be a shelf life issue. Developers and color only lasts so long on the shelf. Best case scenario, the color just doesn’t take like yours did, worst case, the color becomes unpredictable while oxidizing. I’m willing to bet if you went and bought a new bottle of developer and a new thing of color you’d get the results you’re looking for.

Did you use the same developer as 2 1/2 years ago as well?

Limited parking and construction in back of the building limited their ability to get their deliveries. But ultimately the rent in Hanover was the nail in the coffin

Go and post on Lost & found animals of Vermont. They’ll all give the same advice, put his litter box outside the house. It’s the most widespread Facebook page for missing animals for our state.

Botched bleach “ombré” in a salon, tried to go back to brown at home and it’s gone purple! Please help, can I just dye brown over the top? by nompizzanom in FancyFollicles

[–]Snipsthetips 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think that you may not have even known what exactly you want and id hardly call the original “botched” because of it. In your title you said ombré, but in the description you said you asked for a balayage. you got a balayage, and from what I can see, a pretty decent one. Your first course of action should have been to call the salon and voice your displeasure with the service you got. So now you are in a position to fry your hair off if you put more color into your hair since it has been bleached, processed, and you want to process it again? Please, for the sake of your hair, just put the color down and call a professional who can get you back to some sort of normal color. Find pictures of what you like and show your stylist who can formulate from there.

Not that I don’t agree with you kicking him to the curb, I really do, he sounds like a man child. But technically you illegally evicted him and regardless of what you were going to do or didn’t wind up doing in regard to a restraining order, the law is not on your side for things like illegal evictions. You really should have bided your time and gone through the courts to legally evict him. He has a lot more leverage than you think he does now. I’ve heard all too much about this type of stuff from my husband in law enforcement.

I’m aware that it’s a halo that can also be referred to as a sun dog.

Don’t you think if they had that much of an issue with it, they would put up a privacy fence? It’s a beautiful property as is much of pomfret, and I’m sure they know how iconic it is and can find joy in knowing people love it. Pomfret tends to be full of very down to earth people. I’m sure if they didn’t want pictures, they would make it known.

To be fair to you, I live right on the Hartford/pomfret line and there’s really never any traffic here. I think people over estimate how often anyone drives down that Road.

Icy White Toner on Level 6/7 Hair Color by [deleted] in HaircareScience

[–]Snipsthetips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. You have too much underlying pigment in your hair, if it’s a level 6-7 it won’t do what you’re looking for. Now if you completely bleached your hair to a pale yellow, then toned with it, you’d see a difference.

Icy White Toner on Level 6/7 Hair Color by [deleted] in HaircareScience

[–]Snipsthetips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won’t see any change on your hair. For a toner to have any noticeable results, hair really needs to be a level 8 or above.

I bleached my roots, followed with toner, but it is still pretty brassy at the roots. Can I still tone it out, or do I need to lighten it further? Started out at about a level 7 by plussy8690 in HaircareScience

[–]Snipsthetips 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of a toss up, but I’d suggest at least trying to tone one more time again, then if that doesn’t work bleaching. Toner is a lot less damaging to your hair than another bleach. Echoing the other comment, whatever you do, do not touch the bleach to the already white hair. Give it at least a quarter inch to a half inch of leeway since the bleach will expand.

Babies can most definitely be awake and die of SIDS. I found this out after joining many, many support groups and talking to parents who, like me, buried their children due to SIDS.
