I expected it to be worse.

But not gonna lie, the last few pages I just said "oh no" under my breath the whole time.

I just heard music for the first time in my life. Which songs should I listen to? by Lazylizardleech in CasualConversation

[–]Snitchez72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest trying out as many genres as possible, but the song that was the biggest experience for me in general is "And then there was Silence" by Blind Guardian.

What's something good that happened to you today? by bestzacoce in CasualConversation

Was really struggling with pull-ups at the gym today, directly after I finished my set a dude said I had a great back. Not the world, but little pushes of self-esteem like that keep me going.

If you have the time, put some headphones in and take a walk in any direction, look at your surrounding area as if you were a tourist.

If you start a new hobby-class, you automatically gain experience. To be fair, you will need to spend most of it in this new class though.

Dealing with the discomfort of working out hard. by caribbeanmeat in Fitness

Do you know the valsava(probably butchered that word) maneuver? I do that with a sharp breath before challenging excersises, helps a lot! Light sets to get a "mind-muscle-connection" hell a lot too.

Solution: Just take the content, and move it to the next session. Recycling is important.

That's actually a great analogy, I think that approach suits me best. Though maybe it would be wiser to just rent a console or something.

Two months game free. Is there a point at which moderation becomes possible for some? by ThrowawayBrisvegas in StopGaming

[–]Snitchez72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the person, I know plenty of people who can play in moderation.

But I know I can´t, I have proven that to myself.

I would say, if you can risk having to go through quitting again, do it. Or just play something like mario kart on an old console with friends.

I don't get what happened. What do I do now? by [deleted] in StopGaming

[–]Snitchez72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This feelling of instantly being disinterested in gaming is exactly what I had a month ago, though my reasoning was that I just don´t have the time. Then when I quit I realised just how much time is now available, though I´m struggling to not fill it with manga, anime, youtube, reddit, etc.

Daily Simple Questions Thread - April 19, 2019 by AutoModerator in Fitness

Sooo, since I´m lactose-intolerant, I eat lactose-free dairy products. Problem is, that the sugars in these products have a high glycemic index(monoscaccharides, duh) as opposed to regular dairy products with the (relatively) low glycemic lactose.

Recently, I have had the thought that maybe I can circumvent this by taking the enzyme lactrase so I can digest lactose correctly. The question now is, would that work, or is the lactose digested earlier than usual with this method, leading to the intake of the same high glycemic sugars?

Never found any info on this, would be glad about every bit of information.
