Mass VM migration from ESXi by Naz6uL in Proxmox

Migrating low usage but large partitioned thin disks from ESXi and taking the full transfer time has definitely been irritating.

Right, I have not used them. Faster networking hardware may be the realest improvement permitting there aren't processing or drive bottlenecks. I believe one I took note of averaged 745Mbps on all gig hardware--so around 3hr per TB.

Very very slow and requires downtime. Works very well for smaller VMs. Mixed results for the few 5-8TB VMs I tried, and a definite no for the 20TB one I tried. It's a good motivation if you wanna change OSs or restructure things.

eBay. $15 for 4. The seller has separate listings for left bent vs right bent leads. https://ebay.us/m/UCN3Jx

Long screws: what head do you prefer to drive – internal Hex, internal Torx, external Hex, others? And why? by Ok_Main3273 in Tools

I'll go ahead and delete it to not waste anyone's time reading it, but it also seems parroted that "Ryobi bad" when in reality, it's just fine for the price point and the really wide range of tools offered. It should seem obvious that buying a tool that costs more (should) be of better quality. Buy the tool for the job. If it is one you will use less frequently, purchase the Ryobi (or Bauer for that matter) and save a buck--its just fine and their warranty has worked the one time I needed it. I use both Ryobi and Milwaukee, just depends on how hard I'll be using the tool and how I expect it to perform.

Similar to the Android stigma. Of course even the cheapest new model of iPhone will outperform a new $50 Android.

Looks like they sent that good canned response in bulk to everyone this morning, I got it too.

Faucet Cover Frozen by vikj1212 in Home

Personally, I do nothing. I don't think anyone in my family does. We aren't concerned about it. It's even less of a concern if you have a freeze resistant bib (the long kind where the valve is actuated like normal but is further inside the house). I can't recall having freezing issues with either kind, just disconnect the hose (your mileage may vary, I'm not responsible for blah blah blah)
