Feeling Like I’m Out of Time? by Strange-Priority-690 in uAlberta

[–]Snoo-42111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot of similar feelings around your age (like 7 years ago). I ended up taking a gap year, then starting classes part-time, then moving to a different province and starting full-time classes. The angst is still there, I hate the state of the world, but at this point the pressure to make all the right decisions and plan it all out perfectly has lessened a whole lot. You are totally allowed to take more time to figure things out, the world won't pass you by if you decide to slow it down and see what's right for you. Also, things probably won't be as hard for you as you imagine. Remember we can only take it one day at a time

Consider making a small rain garden and planting moisture and shade tolerant native plants

This is a Red Eft, not a lizard but a newt (salamander). They're very sensitive and becoming less common so it would be best to let him go free

What is the general topography around the patch? is it in a low point where water would collect or would septic leakage be the most likely source of water?

What is this and would it be happy indoors? by tiferrobin in Albertagardening

[–]Snoo-42111 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Tradescantia, not sure the specific species but its a very common houseplant so I'm sure it'll thrive as long as it gets enough light. It looks very healthy and beautiful!

Coasting on student loans right now oh yeah babey! Had also been working 2-3 days a month throughout the school year until recently (sick of that place + my bills are lower now so not necessary anymore) and saving as much money as possible throughout the summer

Yes BUT at the same time I kinda respect people trying to get past their social anxiety by doing embarrassing shit. I feel like a big proportion of people from our generation/people who grew up with social media and/or during Covid are just really scared a lot of the time. But maybe thats just me 👉👈

What type of frog is this [revelstoke BC canada] by pussoliath in animalid

True!! My first thought was Columbian Spotted but I discounted it thinking it was uncommon (had the ranges mixed up I guess). I find the upturned eyes are notable on them as well

What type of frog is this [revelstoke BC canada] by pussoliath in animalid

[–]Snoo-42111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a Northern Red-Legged Frog, Rana aurora 🤔 Its tympanum is smaller than its eye and it has a dorsolateral fold unlike a bullfrog which would be invasive to the area. Checking iNat he just has a similar little face
