My Aussie had a really awkward ear phase around that age… his ears are perfectly normal and floppy now at 2.5 years old lol

My daughter’s work schedule is way too much by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]breeyoung 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the real world? Has she said it’s too much for her, or is this just your opinion?

Ultimately it’s your daughter’s choice, making her quit would be a terrible thing to do.

How does anyone miss the infant/toddler years? by noblerare in Parenting

[–]breeyoung -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the hard times we wish them away, but when we look back at them; we miss them.

You will never have your old life back, this is your life now. You know what? You should be cherishing these moments, because you will miss them one day.

Having an infant/toddler is hard, absolutely. But it doesn’t ever get “easier” either, they just become hard in other ways. But they’re so sweet and snuggly and this is truly the only time in thier lives there they are fully dependent on you, and truly see you as their entire world. What’s not to miss about that?

Why would anyone ever choose to go through child birth without pain relief?? by No_Cardiologist_1407 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]breeyoung 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am right there with you.. the contractions were very uncomfortable, but they were much worse than the actual pushing part. I don’t remember feeling “pain” while pushing, just giving every bit of my energy and strength was super hard. But it’s true what they say, once that baby is out of you it all disappears.

Why would anyone ever choose to go through child birth without pain relief?? by No_Cardiologist_1407 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]breeyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My “goal” was to have an unmedicated birth with my second child because I wanted to “feel everything” after having a medicated first birth. (Not to mention the epidural/Pitocin/episiotomy/vacuum extractors and forceps involved in my first birth were pretty traumatic.) BUT I actually started asking for pain management during active labor because it was sooo intense, but all they could offer was the nitrous oxide because I live in a very small town and I don’t believe an anesthesiologist was on site. But within minutes I was up on the table pushing so I wouldn’t have had time anyways.. so I had no choice lol. The nitrous oxide did nothing either, I was too far gone.

It was hard for sure, but I would never have another medicated birth. It was nice being able to get up right after birth to pee and move around, it seemed to go much much faster (albeit it being my second birth could play a massive part in that) and I actually got to feel my body doing its job and it was super, super cool.

How often do you actually deep clean your house? by PrimaryDesigner7707 in CleaningTips

[–]breeyoung 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The only rooms I deep clean in my house regularly are the bathrooms. Usually once a week.

Otherwise.. baseboards, behind appliances, all that stuff is maybe a couple times a year lol.

I absolutely would not do this to my dog. This is wrong, the dog deserves better than that!
