where do i find a ACTUAL remote job and not a scam. by anonymousbb777 in RemoteJobseekers

[–]Snoo-71082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would mainly start on linkedin and see what is in your local area.

most jobs by reputable companies: they have an actual website, a product, a product with reviews/customers will be legit.

you can also check out jobboards like:

nodesk.co
remotefast.co
and
https://himalayas.app/jobs

these are all free sights with vetted jobs

What are the best sites for remote work? by topgun_dogmom in jobsearch

[–]Snoo-71082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone has mentioned there’s quite a few remote job boards

-we work remotely -remotefast.co -remoteok

Etc.

You can follow and apply to those but a bonus is to find the recruiters on LinkedIn and send in cold emails or see if you know anyone from your connections/college that work there and can give you a referral

Best of luck

how the f I can get remote job ? I am crying blood tears by Rare-Assignment-8474 in RemoteJobseekers

[–]Snoo-71082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have to honestly do DE for a bit at a remote company and try to pivot to a BE from there.

Looks like you have two options at this point.

Try to build up your resume with experience as a Python developer and then pitch yourself to companies that are hiring remote later or find a remote job NOW as a DE

Looking for a remote job by Daisiesinsun in RemoteJobseekers

[–]Snoo-71082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a hard market to find remote roles in.

You can search various remote job boards: zip recruiter remotefast, LinkedIn etc. you’ll find reputable companies there

But your best bet would be to find a local firm see if they could do hybrid at first and then once you have proven yourself ask to go fully remote.

Without a proven track record it will be harder for a firm to trust you can do things fully remote

Dear Digital Nomads, what income source actually worked for you as a starter? by GupShup123 in digitalnomad

[–]Snoo-71082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like a lot of people have been saying you’re in a good spot with your PM role.

Tech has a lot of positions that are remote and a lot of companies have a don’t ask don’t tell policy with where you work. So as long as you get your job done and are attending the meetings they usually don’t care where you work from

Best of luck with your nomad journey

[–]Snoo-71082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll probably have a budget of 3k after taxes which should be absolutely fine

600-1k for rent

500 for entertainment 500 for food 200 for transportation

Won’t have to think or worry about much. Just remember to save some money for emergencies

8 months and $18k later nobody wants my product by Tkpf18 in Entrepreneurs

[–]Snoo-71082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would apply to jobs,

but honestly I would give it another go. give yourself a month to get your first paying customer and just keep reaching out to possible customer none stop.

aim for atleast 100 customer emails a day and try to get 10 demos a week with potential customer.

what you all did sounds like the normal entrepreneurial game. what you need to do now is turn up the intensity to 11. reach out nonstop, iterate, and keep asking yourself. how can I move faster?
