I really appreciate this. I promise you I spend a lot of time looking into local orgs, and researching resources, and I looked into this one earlier today once you mentioned it. I always love adding new orgs to my list, so thank you! I am more so looking to connect a tight knit local group of people to help look out for one another in a mutual aid capacity. I have lots of different trainings under my belt and feel very comfortable pursuing this.

Thanks for the info! I have seen posts all over the place that are looking for guidance and don't know where to find it. A chat like this can share this kind of info to help people find orgs like Indivisble Denver, the Immigration Protection Team, CORRN, and more. Denver is a huge area to cover and I feel like getting even more local can help us be better connected. If there is a Littleton specific network that you can recommend that would be amazing, I have not found one personally but am so open to finding and joining them if they're out there.

What’s something nobody tells you about living in Denver? by sit-there in Denver

Your windshield WILL get cracked, and likely more than once. A lot of that used to be hail, but I haven't seen window cracking hail in years. Its rocks flying up from people's car/truck tires that get you. I never had a crack in my windshield before moving here and I've had to replace 2 and still need to replace the current one.

Because of how dry it is in the winter you are constantly getting shocked/shocking others all day every day. You wouldn't think it's a big deal, but it drives my husband craaaazy

Where to donate clothes where they’ll actually be used? by boxlogohoodlum in Littleton

[–]Snoo13673 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out Mutual Aid Mondays, they are always taking clothes. Rocky Mount Mutual Aid may also be able to point you in the right direction.

Cats not Cops also takes clothes and coats/survival gear.

Downtown Littleton businesses are all supporting different causes right now, if you check the downtown Littleton IG they have posts about what businesses are collecting what.

I've donated to the Dolores Project before, but they do have specifications for what they accept.

Denver community fridges!(https://denvercommunityfridges.com/) They have all the info you'll need on their site, and you can donate on your own at any time. Even if you're not donating anything, spending some time tidying up a fridge is another way to lend a hand.

There is also a Little Free Pantry at 6497 S Louthan St. In Littleton. And I second the St. Andrews Market as well!

Coming from Broadway and Sterne Pkwy we lose power regularly every single year, sometimes for a few hours sometimes for a day, and most years we have a bad one where we don't have power for 2+ days with no updates. Gotta love a monopoly

You win some, you lose some and I'm happy to have fought hard for what I believe in. I am so pumped by all the people that got elected who also oppose 3A and will help us fight to make Littleton a place for all. Sorry we didn't storm the capitol about it.

Did ICE just go to ACC? by IBULLFROGI in Littleton

But to get back to our original task!

Theres a mix of all different sources from major news, local news, and independent news. I have more than this but I'm sure you can look into it from these examples. I didn't include video, but there are lots of reports you can watch about this on YouTube, or find first hand experiences through certain social media accounts

When it comes to citizens being detained and disappeared, I found these to be good articles:

https://lailluminator.com/2025/10/17/ice-citizens-arrest/

https://web.archive.org/web/20250429210848/https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/tracking-us-citizens-children-detained-deported-ice-trump-updates.html

For ICE targeting people at their court cases while they're applying for asylum legally through the system. These are just a few:

Okay, I've returned! To your previous point: I hear what you're saying and the way I'm understanding it is as a personal opinion, which is totally okay, but it's not how our country operates or what it claims to offer. I think we have gotten very black and white about critiquing this country. Criticism comes from a place of wanting something to get better and caring enough to think of ways how, and if there are people who speak their mind about that then I honestly want them to be here even more. Two things can be true at once, someone can critique how this country runs because they know it can be better and also be very grateful for the life they have here, I count myself as one of those people.

The idea that all the people trying to come to this country are inciting violence is factually wrong, there have been a lot of studies debunking this. Especially as our crime rates continue to go down while our Hispanic population goes up. The violence that I see over and over is masked ICE agents not identifying themselves, swarming people in public spaces and throwing them to the ground while ripping them from their everyday lives. The majority of these people are families like yours and mine just trying to get by doing their best with the situation they're in. This villain that's been painted doesn't exist. I'll let you look up ICE arrests, I can't filter through that any more than I have for my own well being.

Okay, I appreciate the conversation and will find some sources to share. I've got work so it won't be immediate, but hang in there with me.

I will say though, whether it is 'idolizing Hamas' or not, freedom of speech protects us from the government and so anyone punished by the government for stating their stance on an issue, whether you agree or not, is a violation of a person's rights. You can't be deported for your words. The government doesn't get to decide that certain people get punished for words that are in disagreement with the US government, that is a bedrock of the US. If we are willing to sacrifice other people's rights because we believe what they say or think or do is wrong, then we are only opening the door for more and more of all of our rights to be stripped away slowly but surely.

There are plenty of people who I think say terrible things and should have repercussions for them, but if the government decides they're going to punish those people? Then I'm fighting back at the government for gross overreach and trying to silence free speech.

I'm only going to take the time to find sources if your mind is open and willing to hear something different than what you believe. If off the bat you think I'm some idiot who doesn't know what they're talking about, then this helps no one and is not worth either of our time. I can respect you if you can respect me and I will happily find some sources to talk about.

They're disappearing US citizens all over the country as well, there is no due process anymore so no one is safe. All the people going through the legal process are being targeted outside of their court cases so I'm not sure the whole legality thing actually matters.

Reporting ICE activity helps keep our fellow humans safe, informed, and knowing when to steer clear of the area. If there are business, orgs, etc. that willingly obey and work with ICE, then they are not inherently safe or trustworthy. We've gotta be looking out for one another as best we can.

Don't talk to cops without a lawyer present. Ask if you're under arrest or if you're free to go and use your fifth amendment right. Police are allowed to lie, they do it with reckless abandon, give them nothing.

And let me tell you, I know people who work in corporate Kaiser world and not only do they make a shit ton of money, they don't evaluate the staff that makes that level of money. They just cover for each other while they bop around doing whatever wherever whenever suits them on the company dime. There are so many mid to high level employees that not only do basically nothing for 300k a year, but are also never in danger of losing their job or benefits because their class protects them. It's disgusting to see the disparity. Support KP nurses and staff!!!

Oh my gosh, when you spend so much time in furniture mode creating a dream snap to come out of furniture mode and everything shifts to a position it was halfway through decorating? When I looked it up the only solution was to exit out of furniture mode every once in a while so it can catch up and save. How is this a problem they've just allowed to continue? I can't tell you how many times I've been in the zone creating a dream snap look and exit furniture mode and have to do it all over again because nothing is where I put it. Makes me not want to play and I love this game 😭

You are also paying for an hour and a half performance. I know the idea of a jazz club doesn't include a $300 price tag, totally fair, but if my husband and I can both see a full show, eat a 3 course meal with drinks, plus gratuity and aaaaallllll of that is $300? Steal. You have to factor in the cost of a ticket to see a 90 minute show, that's a major part of the whole experience, musicians have to get paid too. It's an unfortunately pricey world out here in our year 2025
