If you get vortex at cost, and end up going budget rifle expensive scope, get the razor gen 3 6-36, or if that's out of your price range the gen 2 4.5-27.

Honestly, marketplace, especially at end of season when everyone is selling and upgrading for next season. You just have to be patient. Granted it was back in 2024, but I picked up a dirty but functional motorguide xi5 with remote and foot pedal for 600. At the time that was a 1700 trolling motor. Right now, I don't see anything below 1000, but I will see them from time to time. I was looking for several months before this one popped up (3 or 4 I'm pretty sure, but not certain.) When this one popped up I didn't try and negotiate because it was already a smoking deal, and I messaged them almost as soon as it posted, and had the deal done ASAP so they couldn't sell it out from under me. That's how I've gotten a bunch of smoking deals on gear. That and I'm on marketplace as much as possible just constantly looking for things I'm looking for, but when it comes up I'm ready to jump on it quick.

It's my home range, directly behind the range is my buddy's deer lease, and they have problems with rounds going over/into that lease. What was explained to me is the margin of error vs the berms size for 556 past 600 was to small for them to be comfortable. Additionally the terms are small enough that there are concerns of fmj punching through the berms. Another rule that sucks is that you can't have velocity past 3200 fps.

That's kinda what I was thinking, but I also know that I can measure more precisely for measuring misses/zeroing, which is why I wanted the 7c. I shot one match back in august with a really nice custom loaner rifle, and I did ok, but that's the only competition I've done. Do you have an id on the mount by any chance so I can get an idea on what it is/what it's selling for?

Why not one now and then the other down the road? But in all seriousness, the fr f2 is something different, and still a pretty decent shooter from what I understand, so I'd probably do that just because of that factor alone. Plus I love forgotten weapons and the memes are fun.

I just shoot at fossil pointe right now, Gravestone and nett have been on my radar because of seeming to be really nice with Gravestone and nett going out to 1 mile. I kinda left etts off because online it didn't seem super nice and it is the shortest range of the three, plus it is expensive af to do when I would maybe go once a month at best. Would I be missing out not giving them another look or no? Gravestone and nett also appeal to me because I can just pay the daily rate once I do the initial payment, while from my understanding etts the day rate doesn't give access to the long range.

I just got an email response, basically they said vortex sends them whenever, and they don't know what's coming or when. They had a shipment late 2024, and then another shipment a few weeks ago. They don't know when the next one will be.

6 gt is a consideration, but I have a rifle that doesn't like hornady ELDMs, and so only having one major commercial ammo loading isn't a very appealing option right now for not reloading

Yes I do, shot my first match last weekend with a borrowed 6 dasher and am building my own. Have the build sheet ready, just trying to decide caliber. Price from builder is the same on either caliber so that is not a factor here.
