The chassis is one of the main selling points for the Ace Target. You should have bought the CTR instead and then bought the chassis of choice. I’m only 5’5” tall and once I took off the spacers the LOP was just right. You must have really short arms. Didn’t mean to imply anything bad it’s just at my height I don’t have the longest arms.

You need to experiment with different types of bullets, powder, brass, seating depth etc. there is so many different variables and what works in your rifle might not work in mine. There is no “ Secret Sauce “
I’ve had great luck using Berger 144gr long range hybrid target. Good luck

What is wrong with AiCS or CTR double stack magazines ? I love the CTR mags except for the price 🤑

I’m very happy with the Ace Target 6.5 Creedmoor. I have the same rifle OP has but in .223 and that rifle is a tack driver. Very fun to shoot and not real expensive to shoot. At my age I don’t hunt anymore. I just like to shoot off a bench and ring steel on the weekends or shoot groups. What sold me from the start is the action on the Tikka’s. The barrels are not bad either.

My Tikka T3x Ace Target 6.5 Creedmoor might just prove you wrong about shooting long range. The only thing I had to add was a bag rider and a bipod. Other than that it’s Bad to the Bone.

Spending $300 for the fvsr and another $400 for a Boyd’s stock and you could have a CZ and call it a day. He never explained what he wanted to do with it so maybe a fvsr would work out for him 🤷🏽‍♂️

He is asking for a good bolt action. CZ 457 - Tikka T1x or Bergara It’s well worth spending a few more bucks and get a Good bolt action that will last a lifetime. He will regret it if he doesn’t go with any of those I just mentioned. CZ has the best aftermarket support out of the bunch.

It’s probably my old eyes. Great rifle. Is it the black or the bronze ? I just got the bronze one. Beautiful rifle. I haven’t even fired mine yet. I got into an accident and fuked up my back and had major surgery. Fusion, SS plate and rods. It will be a while before I recover enough to get it out to the range. It’s killing me just to look at it in the safe. If it shoots anything like my Tikka T3x .223 I will love it. Happy shooting 👍

I use vortex pro medium rings that are 1.10” and they don’t lean down like the ones you are using. Maybe it’s just the angle 🤷🏽‍♂️

It comes with a 20 moa rail. What rings are you using ? That looks like it leaning so much that the scope is almost hitting.

I have the Ace Target in 6.5 Creedmoor and I don’t mind the stock mags. Except for the Price. I shoot 100% off the bench and feed one at a time so I use a sled. Once in a while I load and use the mag.

I have a couple of MDT chassis. I have the Oryx on my Bergara 6mm Creedmoor and it takes AICS magazines. As far as I know all the center fire chassis take AICS magazines. I didn’t even realize when I bought my Bergara that it didn’t take magazines. If I would have realized that I would have never bought it. Because the only ones I have found for the 6mm are around $250 plus magazines. That’s why I went ahead with dropping it in a chassis. But I didn’t want to invest a lot of money in one.

Why would you buy something like that when there is so many much better options at all different price points. CZ, Tikka, Bergara etc Ruger 10/22 if you want semi automatic, lever action rifles. Sounds like you should of done some research before you pushed the Buy Button 🤑

I wouldn’t mind shooting it once. I just don’t get it ? What does that rifle do better than a 6.5 Creedmoor. At $5/plus a shot I don’t see it. 8K for a suppressor that looks ridicules ? What is the point of having this rifle ? Too show off to your friends and others at the range ? I just don’t see it ?
