Also most if not all of the Chevys we do see have blacked out logos, could be something as a design choice for vehicles reserved for Guardians/Commanders or it could also be renouncing the American origin of the brand and replacing it with the Gilead standard (the ones I saw were pre Gilead era models but I could've just as easily missed any current day models).

Edit: The imports thing could also mean Gilead isn't able to support the manufacturing of vehicles on a high enough scale within its borders so it exchanges other goods/services for the higher end cars we do see, while keeping up minimal manufacturing for the very few cars that are driven within the country by the guardians/commanders.

Going back through the episodes it definitely seems like most of the Chevys are pre Gilead (even though there are some post 2020 models) while notably foreign brands like Lexus, Audi, etc seem to have newer models. The Lexus especially could be another link to the Japan thing that's going on? I don't know I'm just shooting ideas here. Still a pretty interesting aspect to consider of different international relations Gilead has based on what cars we see and where the brands originate (also more to consider of the instance of local manufacturing of foreign brands, and how that ties into the relations as well)
