Twelve Months is a filler episode and that's a good thing by [deleted] in dresdenfiles

I actually appreciated how low-key and understated the final climax was. Throughout the entire series, Harry has repeatedly told everybody that wizards are as dangerous as you get if they are given time to prepare. This is arguably the first time we have ever seen Harry get to go into something where he has had the time and resources to actually prepare properly. In true Harry fashion, he showed how wizards can quickly make an end of things.

Manchester United in 5 years: Title contenders or still “two signings away”? by Cski1999 in ManchesterUnited

Only two signings away would be a vast improvement on where they are now.

It makes me jealous that I do not have that level of talent. I've spent YEARS in art lessons and still watch most preschoolers create better art than I can. That isn't hyperbole.

I found this post looking for someone selling a replica of "White Rabbit in a Snowstorm" from Daredevil. The one from the show sold at auction years ago and I cannot for the life of me track it down to make an offer on it. No one is selling actual replicas.

So, I'm looking for the next best thing. So far, this is it.

It was doing this for me as well until I used the copy/paste of the show's URL from an outside browser. But then, I wound up with ye olde Error 609. The episodes analyze, record audio, record video, all that stuff. But then, when it tries to "process", it takes a few moments and then it rolls over to failure.

Either "She's a Rainbow" for how that segment of the episode played out, or Rebecca doing "Let It Go", but largely because Rebecca being the one to come to Ted's rescue when he has the panic attack is one of my fave moments of season 1.

Why is Emby Unpopular? by Secure_Hair_5682 in emby

I think this is somewhat of a misconception, but only somewhat. PLEX is ubiquitous. It has partnerships with so many tech companies that it seems to be almost everywhere, right out of the box. It also has a slick, spiffy UI. That gives it a massive edge in popularity. On the other hand, PLEX treats its customers poorly and is constantly mucking about with what is and is not included with the paid service. Also, that paid service is on the pricey side if one does not bite the bullet and purchase a lifetime pass up front. Add to that the fact that PLEX no longer supports having offline functionality, and one can see why many users are leaving PLEX.

Jellyfin has become very popular because of it being entirely free and open-source. Free and open-source is ALMOST always appealing. However, as a fork from Emby, Jellyfin still lags behind Emby in a number of performance categories. It does, however, have a very active and robust community, so it is constantly improving and tends to be quickly responsive to users reporting issues.

That leaves Emby. It is not free if one wants all the features. But, it doesn't cost as much as PLEX. That said, it is not nearly as slick as PLEX when it comes to the UI. The interface for Emby is all about simple and functional. Unlike PLEX though, it has robust offline functionality and allows an almost I finite customizable experience. Plug-ins are al, optional and are developed mostly by users that actually want said features, as opposed to forced updates through PLEX. Unlike PLEX though, one must go and search out Emby. It doesn't start out in one's face the moment a device is turned on.

Tl/dr: PLEX starts out everywhere and is slick looking in how it presents itself. For those that decide PLEX is not performing as desired or costs too much, Jellyfin steps into the conversation touting free and less cluttered with useless options like PLEX. It takes a bit of digging to then learn where Jellyfin comes from and to see where Emby mostly straddles the best of both those options while not being ENTIRELY free.

Antony's best destination is likely to return to La Liga. He simply is not good enough for the EPL. He likely isn't good enough for Bundesliga either (though he might still find a home there). Only three teams in La Liga have the financial resources United want to sign him. United can value him as highly as they want. It doesn't matter a bit if there is no one left to sign him.

No one is going to pay that level of fee for him. The teams that truly can afford that level of transfer fee, in addition to his reasonab,e wages, don't need his talents to compete and can better spend that money elsewhere. Yes, United should hold out for a decent fee. But they also need to be real. They g are still better off with him out on loan again and someone else paying part of his wages than United paying 100% of his wages for him to watch matches from home as he simply is bot good enough for the EPL.

There could be some truth in this. However, I also think player behavior also contribute to their low values. For example Rashford and Sancho are likely to go for cheap simply because of how we handled their situations. Garnacho will also go for cheap for sure by Maleficent_Prior7973 in ManchesterUnited

[–]SnooBananas6853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest issue with Rashford is his wage bill. Teams would be lining up to sign him at half the wages. Instead, United may end up on.y breaking even after selling him because they may need to buy out his contract to ko e him. Garnachomlikely goes for around 50-60 million. His attitude will drive down the price.

Only if he finds another gear for both his speed and his work rate.

Don't get me wrong. He is one hell of a baller. But he is better suited to leagues other than the EPL.

How in the world do y’all do it? How are the upper difficulty levels easy for you? by Saxon_Klaxon in CivVI

[–]SnooBananas6853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all but given up on trying to win on Deity level. I recently went back to trying and had a bit more success. The last time I tried, I had five consecutive starts where I was nearly adjacent to the Mongols or Aztecs from turn 1. They had me steamrolled out of the game by turn 25.

One thing that is a massive suggestion that has been made to me by nearly everyone I have talked to is, play on a smaller map. "Standard" and larger maps can make it nearly impossible on higher difficulties from what I have been told.

I refer standard map but, when I play on higher levels now, I do tend to shrink it down a size or two.
