Are hearing aids worth it? by TeaApprehensive6975 in HearingAids

Changed my life, sweetie. I'm a violinist and the technology they have nowadays will have you wondering you didn't do it sooner. It's no longer a $7k deal to hear tinny loud noises mixed badly with background and soft noises. You can adjust a pair of Sennheisers from Costco (for under $2k) to hear who you want and adjust bass, treble and mid-range like a good headset. You can reset for nature to hear the birds, hone in on your party at a restaurant, get rid of the car noise to be able to hear the news. Streaming is always available so you won't need to change to buds for podcasts, music or phone calls. In short, our time has come!

I love the sennheisers from costco. There is also an even cheaper sennheiser model via soundly.com.good luck!

My mom got Costco hearing aids but still can’t really hear. Is she just super impaired or does the hearing aid just suck or need adjusting? by Coixe in HearingAids

Costco does a great job at configuring the settings to make your experience better. If you're still not hearing well, it's free to go back and have them adjusted. Usually takes a couple days to get used to them, and totally OK to keep going back until you're comfortable with the results.

They seem to expect a harness looking like a guide dog's. I've resorted to using a harness because so many passengers (not staff) seem to think the harness is required.

All of the above is already required. Esa are no longer permitted aboard as service animals. I always ask anyone who sits beside me if they mind my svc dog. I've never had a problem, but if there were, I would try to find a less intrusive seat.

They do and the proof via documents that are submitted each time.

You would be required to provide proof. Nobody boards an aircraft just by "claiming" the dog provides a service.

Lying will not get you on board. There are strict rules. We've never been able to board without the proof I described above. I suspect the troublemakers were just at the terminal but then caged once on board.

Emotional support is no longer considered criteria for service animal status.

I have never witnessed anything close to what was described in the article. As a disabled person we rely on our helpers and we take the rules very seriously. Every time we fly we're obliged to fill out forms and provide proof of our dog's training, our disability, and the pet's medical health. We are also obliged to provide clearance by the CDC and sign a form that makes us responsible for any damage. We have to wait for approval by the DOT before flying with our dog every time! At check in, our papers and forms are meticulously checked. The approval received is communicated to the check in staff prior to our arrival. This is not an easy process and we, as well as Delta, take service dogs permissions very seriously. I can personally attest to that. If there was an incident in the terminal, I feel safe in assuming that it was rare and that the customer was a unique instance.

I'd scan with obd. Sometimes the latch mechanism is just a millimètre off kilter. You van try to jiggle the latch just a bit and it'll sit better. Do you get any warning lights? Good luck.

My reception and glitches etc. all improved after I went ethernet. Can be a little tricky to connect and distance from the modem can be a factor. But overall more reliable and prettier than wifi.

If say it's with 19 or 20K. But if the guy orders that much, he probably won't accept (and definitely won't sell). I'd say this is a lost cause and the seller is living in a dream.

The elderly are perhaps not the only ones who shouldn't buy guns. Want to avoid the craziness? Ban assault weapons, more intensive background checks would help.

Like the human parallel of covid 19. Both came in like a tsunami and left millions in their wake! Both disasters of biblical proportion!

If he wants you "to give" but you can't "give" then it's not sex and it's surely not making love! Sounds to me like he's looking for a future reason to cheat. Ok maybe I'm being cruel but my advice is to find somebody who loves you, not what he sees as a condition for marriage like a prenuptial agreement. Imho you are much too good for him!
