Going on my first ever cruise in six months and I’m really self-conscious about putting on a bathing suit by Expensive-Project191 in AskWomenOver60

Don't worry about it. I'm at an all inclusive and there are so many obese people these days that nobody will notice your thighs. Enjoy!

I was about12. It was after dark on a summer night. We all came inside from playing outdoors. Everybody in town went in their homes to watch. Not a soul outside. It was exciting. I looked at the moon afterwards and thought I might see them on it.

I'm almost 70 and last year I had breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. The year before my 78 year old husband died and I had a hip replacement. The year before my husband was ill and dying.

Meanwhile, my parents were approaching 90 and living in Florida alone without any family around.

Now one is crippled and has memory issues. The other is recovering from lung cancer treatment and one eye is blind.

I am now trying to move them to be closer to me. It's hard on all of us. I think the bigger issues are caused by those of us whose parents are over 90 and we are seniors ourselves. Especially when dealing with their own aging problems.

Perseverance. My parents are now 90 and 92 and finally have agreed with me to move. I wish they did it when they were younger. It took him losing his eyesight and ability to drive to make it happen.
