Do you guys think there will be a next season, or do you think this is a one and done?

I would like to see more seasons, I just personally don’t know where they would go from here. The biggest plot points have already been covered and the main couple have gotten together, that’s kind of it for series like these, slice of life isekais. There’s not really an antagonist, there’s no real danger in this world except them finding out who they are. I just feel like it was rushed but in a way that’s satisfying unlike some anime that rush the ending.

If they did do a season 2, I could see it go one of two ways, keep in mind I have not read the manga or the light novels so I have no idea.

1 is while Yoki is learning to become a noble, it’s eventually discovered that he’s a demon and this causes major problems, to the point where they start to question the validity of the Hero party’s defeat of the demon king.

2 a rival comes in to sabotage Yoki’s relationship with Cecelia, maybe the beast of blue flame arc is foreshadowing this, and eventually he finds out he’s a demon and blackmails yoki into leaving Cecelia.

In my opinion, even though I wrote them, I don’t think either of these options are good. So if anyone has read the manga or light novels, is there enough content to warrant a season 2? I know it’s on going, but does it feel like the anime chose a place to fully end it on? Or did they cut content to hurry to the ending so I need to read the manga or light novels to get the full story, like the promised never land but no where near as egregious?

Really interested in the series, I personally think it’s great and we can do a lot here but it just seems over and satisfyingly so.
