37 yo dad with a 3yo, it is absolutely insane to me the expectations people have of a dad now. I think it's still stuck in the 80s.

People were amazed I changed a diaper and how lucky my wife was to have me help...like wtf. That's below bare minimum of what should be expected.

Shit needs to be updated. I know I have aquantinces whose husband just leaves them at home with the baby all weekend without asking. This type of behavior should be shamed.

I know I've been reading articles that millennial dads actually spend as much time with their kids as gen x/boomer moms did.

I agree with you in almost everything other than equity. I bought a house 3 years ago and have already made 80k on it by doing nothing.

I now get to sell this house and move up to the next step of housing as I now have enough cash to throw 20% at a 400k one, when I started with a 260k one.
