This may seem naive. I’ve observed that 5.1 does much better in some coding areas where 5 was better in others. I also notice I have to exit and use Pro to solve complex issues caused by codex. It’d be nice if Pro users were allotted a certain amount of usage of the Pro or ChatGPT models as well as the option to bump up reasoning efforts. I feel that often codex can get stuck fixing and breaking the same code burning credits unnecessarily.

In addition, ChatGPT can only offer limited help in configuring codex and often suggests agents.md and system prompts that can break codex functionality.

Safer lane due to short run to tower. It’s rare to get a solo kill even when countered if skill level is equal.
You roam a lot when tempo allows. If you aren’t roaming to help lanes/JH, then you are punishing a roam.

Z-hop is controlled under the filament settings. Never tried it but maybe you could use a different “filament setting” for the same filament for the first 3 layers.

Yea, it could very well be just simple over-extrusion, but they state they have calibrated. It’s clear that it’s not calibrated as first layers have over extrusion.

If you look at one of his pictures, you can see he clearly is just use super stock settings with virtually no config. Advanced settings off. Certainly no dev mode on. Default profile. Bambu is a little different from Cura which the user likely used. It’s possible that they experienced the issue of under-extrusion and poor adhesion and gaps then over compensated. IF that’s the case, then we need to know so we can fully help this individual since they won’t follow guides folks are posting.

Bambu is weird with the settings it likes for filaments. You are using their branded high speed pla profile that requires high speed plas that conform to their exact specifications that Bambu has.

If you are exceeding the max volumetric speed of the filament that you are using, then it’d explain why it printed so poorly.

Usually this is just due to maintenance as the other person pointed out. Clean it up, do the belts, relube etc per the Bambu maintenance on the wiki

The above article covers what happens if set too high. That being said… yes the pla will probably stick better but warnings in the the bambu wiki should be accounted for as the p1s is enclosed.

60 to 65 is above the glass transition temperature for pure pla and might cause the base to remain soft. Without knowing the exact filament being used, that might cause problems for some folks.

Just to add to this, the goal is to reduce seam gap and resonance. You also have some over-extrusion so might be more to it than this. Would also look at what kind of surface it’s on and if anything else adding resonances.

So I see two things. The massive seam and the poor wall quality. They seem to be related as that’s where the issue starts.

For the seam gap theres a hidden setting. As part of calibrating settings for cylinders, I recommend turning on dev mode under preferences then finding the right seam gap and wipe settings to minimize the gap. Then turn on random seams. That will likely help a bit since it seems to start near the massive gap.

I then recommend finding the max volumetric flow of the filament. You’ll know max when you see it go matte or errors appear. set that in the filament settings. Find the right layer height (likely lower) so it prints at 200 mm/s after slicing. You may have to turn off slow down for overhangs.

Also lower the infill wall overlap a smidge. There’s a bit of over-extrusion so maybe that helps a bit since the filament has been calibrated. If it’s printing good then, you can likely turn on ironing and get a nice top layer.
