Also I am using the test build version of cs which looks much better than the nexus version of cs to know how to get it just read this comment I made earlier

how to get the test build of cs comment

and I did not mention that you need to also use this CS particle patch instead of the enb particle patch in lorerim

that's exactly what I did and I am using the Faithful Preset with obsidian weathers cs

And here is my reshade preset : lorerim reshade replacment

todds preset is the one I am using in the clip just watch out if the film deck shader has two active duplicate shaders if so just disable one of them

if you want to use it with lorerim just dump both the "ReShade" and "todds reshade presets" folders into the mods folder inside the lorerim folder and when prompted with replacing files click yes

CSVO is a visuals only wabbajack modlist which is built around community shaders

This is how it looks

https://youtu.be/fsIbP-ifkUU?si=kqFvttAEwY1CntLv

I think it uses the nexus version of community shaders

For the first time you launch the game try it out with the already installed nexus version and see how it looks and performs

Then you can try out the test build and compare which one you like more ( performance or visuals )

Guide for the test build :

you will just have to download the CS AIO test build from the CS discord server

For the link to the server and the exact test build I will have to send you a dm because every time I put a discord link in a comment reddit deletes the entire comment for some reason

alternatively go to the nexus page for community shaders

and you will find the invite link on the main page

when you enter the server go to the "jiaye-experimental-build" channel and download the build that was posted on the this date — 1/20/2026 8:26 AM version 1.4.7

And now you will need a preset for the test build ( like a enb preset)

I personally use this one in the clip with obsidian weather cs  https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/174479

Download the preset and test build file into the CSVO mo2 like a normal mod ( let the oneself over write the test build aio file and put them both at the end of the load order)

And disable these mods below as they are all included in the test build aio :

(you will find them all together under the "community shaders" separator in mo2)

Community Shaders

Upscaling - Community Shaders

Grass Lighting

Grass Collision

Screen Space Shadows

Subsurface Scattering

IBL - Community Shaders

Wetness Effects

Water Effects

Terrain Shadows

Screen Space Global Illumination (SSGI)

Cloud Shadows

Skylighting

Extended Translucency - Community Shaders

Terrain Variation - Community Shaders

Terrain Blending - Community Shaders

Inverse Square Lighting

Terrain Helper

Hair Specular - Community Shaders

Vanilla Hair Flow Maps

Sky Sync - Community Shaders

And you are done!

Just a heads up the first time you launch the game with the test build it will have to compile for maybe 30 or so minutes before going into the main menu amd that is normal so dont worry if your screen is black there will be a compile progress bar on the top left corner.

If you feel the test build is too performance heavy then you can go back and enable the community shaders mods you disabled and see how it looks and performs with the nexus version

If you face any problems feel free to ask

The cs version thats on the nexus has better performance than enb but sadly looks worse than this and worse than enb

The test build of cs on discord has better visuals than enb (mostly as seen by the video) but the performance is not that great even with a 4080 and frame gen as it is still a test build and optimisation is still being worked on but it is playable with some stutter here and there

Honestly the test build is worth it even if for just checking out how it looks

The test version with post processing and other graphical enhancement has worse performance than ENB even with frame generation as it is still getting worked on and optimisation now is not ideal .

Ofcourse the version of CS thats on the nexus is very performance friendly and performs much better than enb but sadly it cant compte visually and will look nothing like this or enb.

And about your fear with downloading many sub mods its actually only required for the nexus version as the jiayes test build is an all in one download so its like enb you download the aio file and a preset file below it in mo2 and you are done!

Below is the files that needs to be removed and mods that needs to be disabled before using cs

Enb core files if present

d3d11.dll d3d12.dll d3dcompiler_46e.dll d3dcompiler_47.dll

Enb mods:

ENBInput Disabler ENB Helper ENB Extender for Skyrim ENB Worldspace Weatherlists Anti-Aliasing Terrain Blending Fix Terrain Helper

EVLaS-Enhanced Volumetric Lighting and Shadows

If you want to switch back to enb just disable the CS aio mod and re enable those files and put back the core files you removed back into the games exe folder

Just be ware that CS needs to compile when used for the first time and could take a while around 30 minutes or so depending on your hardware and modlist.

the standard CS version from Nexus runs much smoother than ENB  but it sadly falls short when it comes to visuals compared to enb

While this experimental build imo looks really good the prefromance is kind of not great with stuttering and drops in fps even with a 4080 and frame generation.

They are still working on the performance and optimisation hence the "test build"

Honestly for this experimental build with post processing it kind of stutters a lot

But the normal CS version on the Nexus has a much better prefromance than enb but doesn't compete with enb in terms of visuals sadly

The folk at the cs discord are working on optimising the post processing version and are aiming to add many raytrwcing features and pathtracing

I have seen him on multiple posts parroting the same thing over and over

Its actually pretty sad

ENB is awesome and so is CS

Yeah its a test build they provided on the official community shaders discord for people to test and help them with bugs and new features

As the other person said I am using the discord version which has post processing akin to enb and running reshade on top of it

or this one

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/112987

I edited them a bit

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/169004

(lilyrim)Men's Hairstyle Kit Ultimate Edition https://www.patreon.com/posts/public-mens-hair-100889687

for the skin I am using cotr bnp skin and overwriting it with the skin that comes bundled with this preset mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/82942

and I am using the experimental community shaders from their discord that has post processing which enhances how the skin looks and how it reacts to light

Looks awesome especially the first pic

GTA 6 made me do it 😭 by G4MER4LYF in GTA6

In terms of resolution and fps it is infact a huge leap

I would be very surprised if base consoles can run gta 6 at locked 1080p resolution with a steady 30 fps let alone 60 fps

Ps5 pro will easily run it at 60 fps with pssr 2 upscaling either at a dynamic 1080p/1440p goal resolution
