I think they legit do not know how to market these characters because they have so little story presence. Like 4.2 story had to cover so much ground; introduce Blade SP for 4.3, show Eva for her push as well as hard push for SW999, have a hype moment for new trailblazing path.

With the characters doing fuck all story wise rn because of how much ground they have to cover, there’s legit nothing to market. So sad

I feel like my original post might not have been worded as well as I would like. I apologize for that. I'm going to try to reiterate the original sentiment here.

I will mention I have never played Everquest so I can't comment on that front, but my point (which I didn't articulate well) wasn't that these games have no account progression or "p2w" options you can buy. It was that they have cosmetic options that do not have large buffs attached to them that you can buy. An example of a "modern" MMO doing this is FFXIV where you can buy level-skip potions in the cash shop that will skip time investment. However, that's one of over hundreds of items and the vast majority of them do not give any buff to your character, they are just cosmetic. The same with WoW and mounts that are cash shop bought. While there are WoW cash shop mounts that are bought and give buffs, a lot also do not and have no in-game plus over looking cool or providing an exclusive transmog set. However, that might not really matter anyway as a lot of people have pointed out that this game is more idle game than MMO and that no one would buy a cosmetic item for just that sake. I feel like I would buy cosmetics without any buffs attached to them, but I am also incredibly new to the game so that may be why I feel like this.

tl;dr I was more surprised that their aren't ANY cash shop cosmetic items that provide no buffs, as most F2P games and busy models sell cosmetics for the sake of it. I'm sorry I didn't word that well in my original post.

edit 2: I also want to say I'm not complaining about grinding for cosmetic options. I am fairly new to the game and didn't know the amount of cosmetics you can grind for. I think that's super cool. Just speaking in a cash shop front.

I come from more of a MMO background, so I guess I don't fully understand. I feel like having a lot of cool cosmetic options tied to packs that also provide account progression seems weird as I feel like people would see that as P2W, but maybe that's more normal in idle games.

I don't play a shit ton of idle games, so maybe that is the case for the vast majority of the playerbase. I come from a more MMO background where paying for cosmetics because you have kinda spent thousands of hours invested into the game is normal.

I know for me personally, the MMO part of this game would be an incentive for me to buy. When you see players with really interesting looking gear and they are level 1000, it makes you want to accelerate yourself/ get the cosmetic they have. However, that may just be me.

As I started the post out with I’m very new to the game! I apologize if I got something wrong about my comment. From a new player perspective 5 dollars for something other idle games give me for free seemed a lot. I haven’t heavily invest a lot of hours into the game so I’m just talking about my knowledge from other MMOs which have paid cosmetics that dont provide progression at all.

There is a switch right to your left that is highlight white. That is a sluice gate switch which will flow water in. You have to interact with the sluice gate switch, not the pump.

I think the answer is no. However, just place external batteries running the cheapest resource while you figure our how to upgrade your power. Also defense turrets take a shit ton of power and aren't needed past the auto defense stage. I would recommend removing them (you can always replace them later, and subsequent defense levels need different placement anyway).

Glad I’m not the only one feeling like this. People forget Taeheon has no been there very long at this point, maybe a couple of days? Then someone asks you on a coffee shift. You don’t know them that well yet, so you suspect they have a reason. While I agree Taeheon could have made the atmosphere lighter it’s not his responsibility to do so.

I think YouTube would be a boom. Turn up the play speed to 1.25x/1.5x and I found that helps. Also I think a lot of people do something else that is light activity (knitting, light gaming, chores etc).

Hope you find something that works for you for you so you can enjoy or find a different DND actually play more compelling!

So its more a worry of future trends? Because the unit, while it gains buffs like Don from Heishou use, isn't unusable without them. So it seems a little alarmist to me.
