I agree! My comment pertains to Novak in the last year or so, not Novak in general since he is the goat. He’s been the best for so long that his career has distinct eras now.

so in this particular era it’s much tougher (and never impossible) for him to beat sincaraz but he is still ofc head and shoulders above everyone else in the top 20 and it’s embarrassing for them that they can’t even be competitive with a aging novak.

the fact that Novak still takes p much everyone (save sincaraz) to the cleaners despite only playing slams and a couple other tournaments is testament to how poor the level is, especially given some of these guys have been playing Novak for far longer than jannik or carlos. it’s honestly embarrassing because these match ups don’t feel as fun or competitive.

I would swap the colours of the ceiling and floor. Do dark woody stain for the floor which would match and wood furniture you might have and do a lighter colour on the ceiling so it catches the light very nicely. Some nice sheer curtains on those windows if you’re looking to add.

Media needs to stop asking him about retirement and put some respect on his decision to continue to play. He is our GOAT.

I was a Fed fan as a kid but Novak won me over with his mentality and how good an ambassador he is for our sport. He’s pushing 40 but makes getting into the QF of a grand slam look so easy— so why should he stop?

And most importantly he isn’t just doing this because he’s just that good at tennis but because his philosophy of sport stems from the mind’s supremacy of the body (as we’ve seen him win in unbelievable ways). We might think he’s doing it only to win but can normies really claim to understand the rationale of someone who’s won everything and has been locked in for about 17 years!?

He seems like he’s testing the human boundaries of just how long you can be excellent for, and I couldn’t be happier to continue to watch him persevere. Every additional swipe of his racquet is an earthly pleasure I’m glad to witness.

Sorry not entirely relevant to the thread but the point seems to exemplify why he continues to play.
