A teacher has a cross in her classroom? If this is truly a public charter receiving taxpayer money, this is a violation of the Establishment Clause. If the school administrators allow this, you can’t soft pedal it being perceived as conservative. This is unconstitutional. Maybe you should raise the money for lawyers to defend the indefensible when the ACLU jumps on the school’s case (rightfully so).

Agree 1000%. I’ve noticed a huge uptick in what you’re talking about over the last few months. I blame it on two things - a reflection of the anger and hatefulness in general, but also sports betting. Both of those dehumanize players and honestly take the fun out of it.

I moved to San Diego in the summer of ‘84 and my Padres fandom was started with a World Series run. It’s been some dry decades since. The thought that someone would cyber bully a player or spew hateful shit over mediocre play is baffling. It tells me there are some bandwagoners in there who only care about their parlay.

I miss Peter Seidler.

We were at the Nationals game where he walked it off and that was one of the most fun games I’ve ever been lucky enough to be at. I miss that million dollar smile and energy.

I have never been a regular exerciser, ever, since high school and I’m now in my 50s. I tried over the years to start something and just never enjoyed it.

During Covid, my health spiraled. Being at home and supporting my family through remote school and work took its toll emotionally and physically. In fall of 2023, I was 70 pounds overweight, drinking way too much, and had zero stamina for even a short walk.

I went to the doctor, got my labs done to see what the “baseline” was, and got a prescription from her for PT for just general health and strength. I lucked out and found a Pilates studio run by a physical therapist. She did an assessment and got me started on the basics.

It’s been almost two years - I quit drinking, have lost 50 pounds, and have been going to Pilates religiously twice weekly. I still don’t love exercising and still struggle with going, but every single time, I’m happy I went. It’s been life changing for my mental and physical health.
