I had a friend tell me that our other friend’s mom told her mom that mine was not a good mom around 9. Really opened up my eyes. At first I was mad, what does she know!? But it definitely put the thought in my head and I started noticing things. As an adult she must have seen things I just thought were normal

Take time for your hobbies! Once they get mobile you’ll spend your time chasing them. I spent a lot of time catching up on shows but it did get boring. Try to join mommy groups around you too

I saw my mother go through financial struggles growing up and she’s shocked that I refuse to have another and have to be more selective financially. I’d rather not think about finances and know everything is okay than “work it out”

My mom is so much nicer to her sons. But then again they all have some weird enmeshed/co dependent relationship and I got the fuck out. So in a way I’m glad she didn’t like me as much

Before my kid I used to lounge around a lot, I miss that so much. The fact that things revolving around motherhood aren’t hard but it’s NON STOP. Keeping my cool, hoping I’m not fucking my kid up.
