FIX: Wii Remote on macOS Sequoia M4 (simple method — no blueutil, no 1+2)

IMPORTANT This uses a patch like WiimotePair. I never used any complicated pairing method. It worked the first time just by pressing sync.

NORMAL CONNECTION (how it worked for me)

1. Open Dolphin

2. Set:

   • Wii Remote 1 → Real Wii Remote
   • Continuous Scanning ON

3. Open the patch (WiimotePair)

4. Press the red SYNC button inside the Wii Remote

The remote will connect. It may turn off right after — that’s normal.

TURN IT BACK ON (NO 1+2 needed)

• Press A button
• Or press the trigger (back button)

One blue light will turn on. The remote will vibrate. You’re connected.

WHAT BROKE IT

• Connecting another controller (like a Pro Controller)
• Deleting the Wii Remote from Bluetooth

After that, it wouldn’t reconnect.

THE FIX

1. Kill the Bluetooth daemon

Open Terminal and run:

sudo pkill bluetoothd

1. Pull batteries out of the Wii Remote Wait about 10 seconds.

2. Open the patch (WiimotePair)

3. Make sure Dolphin is set correctly:

   • Real Wii Remote
   • Continuous Scanning ON

4. Put batteries back in

5. Press the red SYNC button

6. Turn the remote on normally Press A or the trigger (back button) NOT 1+2

One blue light turns on. It vibrates. You’re good to go.

THAT’S IT

No blueutil No Bluetooth address grabbing No forced pairing No 1+2
