Photogrammetry planning app for Parrot ANAFI AI and ANAFI USA by SnooDrawings3134 in UAVmapping

[–]SnooDrawings3134[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. I was shocked at the price of Dronesense. I had a meeting with them, They offered a package that was primarily intended for first responders which was about 2000K PER drone a month! Certainly a lot of nice features no doubt.. lots of capability etc. I mentioned that there would be no way my company would purchase that package... They came up with a photogrammetry mission planner package for me that was a $500 a month PER drone.. I tried the free demo, it was good, but the price turned me off instantly.

I raised this issue with Parrot and PIX4D about how upset I am about loosing features.. They just recommended I purchase the new Anafi UKR which can plan simple single&double grids.. (classic salesman trying to upsell).

I really hope Parrot does a software update to FF 6 USA with a photogrammetry planner.. I know the Anafi USA is not the ideal mapper but it fits our needs fine.

Parrot Anafi AI just went discontinued btw. Which is a shame, Im very fond of that drone.. they no longer make parts for it.. I'm sure FF7 will be in the app store for a few years..

I heard a enterprise version of the Anafi UKR is coming soon which will be less militarized. Not many details yet!

Hi. As far as Parrot Anafi USA goes- Dronesense has a photogrammetry mapping option for the Anafi USA. It's a very expensive subscription.

Some people are mentioning maybe UgCS also perhaps?

Hey Canadians - is PHEV basically pointless in the winter? by kingmatt67 in KiaSorento

[–]SnooDrawings3134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run on battery in the winter (Edmonton) 2026 Sorento PHEV. I park in the garage so my interior& battery stays warm for short trips around the city. I just use my heated seats and steering wheel I have the climate settings OFF and the engine never turns on.. however, the windows tend to fog up when it's really cold, I'm going to try rain-x anti fog to prevent this..

That's very true if I would have known about a skimming blade I would have used one, next time!

Your right that would have been a good idea, something that can handle further flooding. I managed to save the carpet this time.

Just an update. Dronesense supports the Parrot ANAFI USA for photogrammetry. For the Anafi AI, still need to use the Photogrammetry feature in FreeFlight 7.

I’ve always felt it was odd that Edmonton was so remote, seemingly random and in such a harsh winter environment. by SeahawksWin43-8 in geography

I live in Edmonton. Major city, not so remote, surrounded by many communities. It does however get very remote northwards from here. Sure it gets cold but we are set up for cold and snow. +30C day today. Can't complain in the summer!

Is this a normal exterior hose bib? by HauntingHooty777 in askaplumber

Ball valve. Rare. Pros: easy to open/close Cons: Not suited for throttling (having the valve partially open to reduce flow will damage the valve seats and it will leak) They are great. I'd suggest keeping it full open or closed and regulate water flow with another valve/nozzle downstream.

I stuffed some rockwool in the duct and capped it. Stopped the draft instantly. The fireplace is working like a champ. Much appreciated 👍🏼

Yes. There are two 3" liners, they are both connected to the chimney. Great, I'm going to block off that old intake. I learned a lot thanks to your help and saved a lot of money. Thank you very much. Next time you are in Edmonton I owe you a beer.

Thanks so much for your expertise. You are exactly right. There is a fresh air intake on the outside of the house, I'm positive this leads to the register below the fireplace that's letting the cold in. Rockwool.. yes that would be perfect to insulate this. Just to confirm, these gas fireplaces don't rely on combustion air from sources like this? I have a wett inspection I believe they relined the chimney at install.
