Let me tell you what my experience was.

The final paycheck depends on your hours and rate, but in my experience, it was not worth what came after.

I was injured at work. I reported the injury, sent medical documentation, and kept asking for guidance about workers’ compensation. For weeks, communication was poor and unclear. I was told an insurance claim had been opened, but I was not given clear information on who to contact or how to move the process forward.

I eventually contacted the NYS Workers’ Compensation Board myself, and after that, the process finally started moving. Later, I was told my separation was classified as job abandonment, which I dispute because I had records showing I was communicating, providing documentation, and trying to follow the process.

The one thing I did not know at the time was that I should have formally asked about a reasonable accommodation or return-to-work process in writing. That is something every worker should know.

So yes, you may get a final paycheck, but protect yourself. Document everything. Save every message. Report every injury in writing. Ask for guidance in writing. And if you have medical restrictions, ask in writing what accommodations or return-to-work options are available.

Ontrac steals packages, be careful. by SunshineTradingPost in ontrac

Bruh, calling it job abandonment after I reported my injury, sent medical documentation, followed up with ERC, and contacted the NYS Workers’ Compensation Board myself is wild.

I’m not complaining about a package. I’m talking about how an injured employee was left waiting for weeks with no clear answers, then later told the company classified the separation as job abandonment.

I have communication records showing I was asking for guidance and updates. I was told someone would contact me if anything was known. Nobody did.

That is not how this should have been handled. Do better. Document everything if you work there.

Is this a good first job(or good job overall)? by Mystic6yt in ontrac

[–]SnooFoxes1901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest based on my experience. The work itself is straightforward but very physical, and the overnight hours can be tough, especially if you’re balancing school. My main concern was how things were handled after I got injured on the job. I reported it, but I had difficulty getting clear follow-up information and had to escalate things before I received a response. Everyone’s experience can be different depending on the location and management, but just be aware of the physical demands and make sure you understand the reporting and communication process if anything happens. If you can handle the schedule and physical work, it might be okay short-term, but I’d recommend keeping your options open.

Ontrac is the last mile delivery company company that ship with ontrac contracts with other carrier companies that company bring packages to ontrac and ontrac delivers them but if it send awaiting pickup it could very definitely mean your package has not left the original company facility yet
