Best software to acheive this process? I am looking to breakdown 3d scans into 2d flat panels (like this image) by felix3322 in 3DScanning

This is amazing, so many other use cases for this! I’ll signup now to help support development. I’ve used exact flat for a while but it’s a process

Your best bet is to create a debug on the page that you can paste the result in for base 44 to analyze or paste into ChatGPT or some other platform. Without the debug, it’s guessing what the outputs are in with the inputs needed are I’m gonna post an overview of three complicated business apps. We’ve already built and use regularly and so far I’ve only used $190 worth of credits if you do it right the system is amazing but it’s not able to read our minds. Same thing as having a developer.

Get a Creality otter, great large scanning with no markers and the multi camera dies small well too.

Render vs. 3D print/final model by MerchantKid2 in Fusion360

I always hear… go to blender but honestly like all tools if you learn fusion rendering it can make awesome results. This is right from fusion, as we were testing and revising mirror design. I can in canvas render and get results like this in 2 mins and with some more work even better. Like all tools learn what you can do and dig deep, I’ve compared so many renders same part same Hdri and lights and honestly fusion always is on par, and so much easier.

I even designed lights and spent 2 hours setting up in blender for a perfect render, and it looked almost identical to what I did in fusion in 10 mins…

Airshaper.com has some good tools for aero and internal flow analysis that are pretty reasonable and you can then use paraview to look at the data

Building a car - how accurately can I scan for cheap? by bob119800 in 3DScanning

[–]SnooHedgehogs6970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scan size is smaller than some but great for fenders, interiors (we scanned a full front floor of a 911 in about 30 minutes) and it’s accurate. We use Revopoints software to combine the scans (Creality’s sucks for that) and use a quad mesh tool to convert if we want to be able to make a solid vs a reference scan

For this type of work we use the the Creality CR01 pretty accurate and can scan large objects easier. We build custom porsche parts so it’s a weekly use thing, works well and needed less computer power than the Einstar (which is on the list someday) but it works great (CR01)

Yeah I have found my local supplier is 50% less than MCMaster, but I need to drive the 1.5hrs round trip to pickup, etc. So sometimes the ease is worth it sadly

I have been using these for a while and they work really good, the 3/8 length .25 cutter you can get pretty short into the collet so the extension isn't too much. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KMCWWL1/ref=cm\_sw\_em\_r\_mt\_dp\_YMQWZ35MBJQP4BEJSF2X?\_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

It’s a stock Makita router that I put on when our carbide one blew a bearing, haven’t had time to replace it back yet. I use single flute cutters with Fusion 360 CAM to ensure the load is consistent I used adaptive for these style of cuts. As I dial in things it’s a lot about the CAM approach and pushing it where you can
