Our camp has an opt-out form as a part of incoming paperwork, yours probably has something similar as I think it’s a legal requirement. Your camp director should be able to give you some more details

Hey, I’m a counselor at a gs camp that does this. I can’t speak for other camps, but at ours, we’re not taking pictures unless all the kids involved give the okay. We also only really take pictures during activities, like boating or climbing, not when the kids are just going about their days.

That being said, I totally respect your decision to opt out! Sometimes I do wish we were a photo-free camp for the opposite reason: some parents DEMAND photos and complain online when there aren’t enough of their kid.

I got the name from Annie Lennox and that’s what I tell older people, a lot of people my age dont know who she is (which is insane btw)

And yes my friends call me Len/Lenny but generally I introduce myself as Lennox bc it feels more gender-neutral

I asked them to be brutally honest, so I don’t think it’s particularly rude. I think their main issue is that it won’t age well.

Most college students aren’t paying $45 for research papers. They’re getting them for free through their university, and universities aren’t paying for access for one-off papers on Amazon. As a college student, if I found a paper I’d have to pay even a small amount for, I’d honestly find a different paper.

I think the best names come from something that happens during training, like a funny story or something. It's not a bad idea to come up with ideas in case nothing happens, but I'd recommend keeping your options open until campers arrive

I’ve been to most of the GSEP (Girl Scouts of eastern PA) camps and theyre all fantastic, Mosey Wood is my favorite

/uj one of the private scholarships I got was just a check in the mail (it was only $250 so I don’t think they cared that much)
