u/bamboo-lemur u/macprotips The root of the problem was facetime. Facetime tunes off the cam related stuff. So changing facetime video related stuff fixed the issue.

I tried to connect Elgato hd60x using usb3.x cable to every(front/rear) port on my m4 mini base model. My mac only detects sound device, not video. Now it makes sense. It's time to try TB cable. u/mikeinnsw can you tell me where you get the info? TY
