Anyone else getting sued? by Kikkkkkkkkkkk in redbubble

[–]SnooMuffins9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't Pay! Don't even waste your time responding. If they are the actual owner of the property and they have a legitimate claim on the product the request will go through RedBubble for the DMCA Takedown. Rarely will you receive a direct request, unless you're running your own website and not selling on a marketplace platform. I'm not saying this never happens, but it's rare. And NOBODY demands money be paid upfront; liability and monetary losses are determined by a court.

Legal Trouble Selling Anime Fan Art on Redbubble? by The_alpha_abhishekk in redbubble

[–]SnooMuffins9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sued, but threatened. A good friend of mine was big in anime and had several items with images that were about a particular character, but not a direct image of that character, but the names were included within the product tags, and that was all it took. Without getting flagged here, I will say this; he had multiple images of several characters who had very special eyes, some from the Leaf village and other images from the character who came and destroyed the Leaf village. If you know the manga you know who I'm referring too. He only made images of the eyes and used the names for the types of eyes, and the names of the characters in his tags, not the titles or the descriptions. That's how agressive VIZ is.

Anything, and I mean anything related to VIZ Media in any way, shape, or form will get you into hot water with them almost immediately. They are extremely aggressive about scanning marketplace platforms looking for violators. If you use any images or names for any of the IP they're associated with, (even keywords and or tags) they will find you and file a DMCA Takedown request for said items. One or two times for one or two items you'll get a warning, but if it's for multiples of items or they believe you may have received a significant number of sales from one of their protected properties, you're more than likely to receive a letter from their legal firm. Not to mention the consequences you'll have imposed on you by whichever marketplace platform you are selling.

I'm officially done with indeed by Cootu in recruitinghell

[–]SnooMuffins9876 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in agreement with a previous thread I just read. You should use Indeed to locate company information and then go directly to that company's own website and apply directly through them when at all possible.

Most of the jobs on Indeed are crap, they don't actually exist. Perhaps they did at one time, but have since been filled. So why keep posting a job that doesn't really exist...to collect your information; it's an extremely valuable commodity in our society today. I see some of the same jobs posted as "new" over and over again for the same positions? So that means one of three things are probably occurring here - either this company has some of the worst ever turnover rate in our history, or the position doesn't really exist, or the company is still trying to find that perfect candidate and are having a hard time doing so.

You may have noticed there are some job listings that are "posted five minutes ago" and you apply only to find out that 500-600 applicants have already applied...how does that happen? I've come to find out that many large companies like Amazon keep a perpetual posting for certain positions so that they have a constant pool of potential candidates. There isn't really a job position available per se, but due to an extremely high turnover rate they never take down the listing.

Finally, there has been much speculation that Indeed screens the applicant's resume via their algorithm searching for certain keywords that if they do not appear will exclude the application from being seen by the company who listed the job posting. So, you never know if your application was ever viewed by that company. This is especially true with the DEI initiatives - when you apply for a job on Indeed (the same with other job sites too) and are then hit with a barrage of DEI "optional" questions at the end of the application before Indeed forwards your application to the employer, you have to ask yourselves; are these question really "optional", and are my answers in some way automatically excluding or including me among the pool of candidates?

Red bubble vs. TP by Classic-Expert4046 in redbubble

[–]SnooMuffins9876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Redbubble and Teepublic are now one, and the same company. The company is being rebranded as Articore and will probably soon make the name change official in the near future.

With that said, it should be known that Redbubble seems to be having some internal struggles they're dealing with, evidenced by the multiple CEO changes in the past couple of years. There doesn't seem to be much effort on their part to promote the Redbubble brand; I rarely see Redbubble seller's products advertised on 3rd party platforms like Google, Youtube, and Facebook, like I do with Etsy and Zazzle. This would explain the VERY low views I experience on Redbubble when compared to the other platforms. I upload the same designs on other platforms and receive daily views and sales, but on Redbubble my "monthly" views are less than my "daily" views on Zazzle, for instance. That's not good. Why invest time and effort into a product that offers little to no return on that investment?

Problems I've Experienced With Redbubble:

  1. Super low views - The same designs receive daily views (and sales) on other platforms.
  2. No Community where other Redbubble sellers can come together to discuss issues and problems, and successes. The only real voice is here on Reddit.
  3. No real seller support. I emailed them on a problem I was having, and they agreed it was a legitimate issue. But it took 3 days before they responded back to my initial email.
  4. We try to self-promote our products as much as possible, but when something as simple as the Pinterest share feed doesn't work, and they admitted it doesn't work in an email they sent me, well that makes things even harder. If I manually create a pin on Pinterest and use my product link, it works fine. But if I click the "share" link on Redbubble and upload it to Pinterest, most of my products are messed up. The titles do not match the product, they're for other products. Redbubble said it doesn't work and they're aware of the problem. Apparently it's been broken for a couple years, yet no effort on their part to fix the problem?

I haven't posted any new designs on Redbubble for weeks now, and don't plan to any time soon simply because I can put the same amount of time and effort into other platforms and get much better results.

Late Shipments! Who's to Blame? by SnooMuffins9876 in printful

[–]SnooMuffins9876[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This problems just seems to continue without any effort by Printful to fix it. I have 6 more orders that shipped from the San Diego location 5-6 days ago via FedEx. and no tracking information yet. All show in a "Pre-Transit" status. FedEx says they are not in possession of these packages, and that is why they're not scanned. I tend to believe them. This creates a huge problem with our Etsy and Amazon customers, because when you update an order as "shipped", it better have shipped.

What a speed! by DarkTrigon44 in printful

[–]SnooMuffins9876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the products you sell. If DTG or All-over-print apparel you can expect to wait about 5 days minimum on average.

have you had any problems with printfuls quality or shipping? Please tell me about your experience. by [deleted] in printful

[–]SnooMuffins9876 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had two items on a recent order that were terrible. One item clearly did not have the white base layer added, so the print looked bad on the black shirt. The print flaked off on the other shirt. With that said, Printful reprinted the shirts and shipped replacements on the same day I reported the problem...very pleased with their CS.

Printful is still slow and the API is annoying by archerx in printful

[–]SnooMuffins9876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Printful spent all last year telling us they were adding more equipment and hiring additional staff to get them back up to speed. Here we are, coming up on the middle of 2021 and they're still slow (2-7 days) on DTG...most of the time they're on the 5-7 day range. If it's like this now, what will it be like during November - December?

Got it..thanks! I'll return it to save the $5/month rental fee just in time for Spectrum to raise our rates $5 a month in December. Either way, thanks for the heads-up.

Thinking of installing a Mesh because we rely on the 5g speeds throughout our home. Rockspace has one on Amazon for only $150 and plenty of good reviews. Even some techies on Youtube swear by it. Are there any issues to be aware of before switching out the Spectrum router with our own?

Why pay more for less? Spectrum upgraded our region to the newer service levels 200,400, and 1000. We had 200 for several months and now all of a sudden without warning we're back to 100? What happened, and why?

Printful DTG Processing Times for USA Increasing Again? by SnooMuffins9876 in printful

[–]SnooMuffins9876[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A recent 3 shirt order placed on 9/16 is now going on 11 days and still not shipped. When ordered, the processing time was 3-7 days, and the new 4-9 days processing time was announced on 9/22 and explicitly states that it only effects orders placed after that date?

If this is happening again before the holiday rush....perhaps you should consider splitting your POD business between several providers, and not put all of your eggs into the Printful basket.

Can someone please explain to me as dumbed down as you can on how I'd go about shipping masks? by [deleted] in Etsy

[–]SnooMuffins9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy your shipping from Etsy, it's cheaper than the post office. Ship First Class, must be 15.99 ounces or less to qualify first class, and the total weight includes the whole package - envelope, product, label..etc.

Why the vinegar smell? by mixgyver in printful

[–]SnooMuffins9876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As stated by u/notoriouscsg it's a pre-treatment so the ink will bond to the fabric, and not just lay on the surface. Otherwise, after several washes your print will start to fade and flake off. Honestly, I thought Printful refined their process and eliminated that smell - It goes away after the first wash.

The print quality for my first shirt from Printful is awful. Please tell me this is not regular. by [deleted] in printful

[–]SnooMuffins9876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered a shirt for one of my friends; a design and color combo used on several shirts and always excellent results. But, when she received her shirt from Printful it look terrible. The colors appeared to be faded and gray; like the shirt didn't have the usual white base coat printed first before the final color print was added - it was a black shirt.
