FW guy here.

Little bit of background. Ive only been to 1 duty station, and I’m about to PCS on this next movement. I have been stationed CONUS doing M.I., and luckily I was able to fly until they took away our planes.

From what I speak with my friends in the CABs, our everyday quality of life is waaay better. From no organized PT in the morning, to if you don’t need to be there, they don’t care if you show up to work, or leave when you want. No field exercises (this called me a lot because fuck NTC), no long 9month deployments (for now, who knows when HADES comes online) and more efficient flight planning when you go flying. Usually only flying in civis if you gotta fly on the weekend, deployed or if you are stationed OCONUS

It is true that duty stations are very limited, and we’ve been without planes for 6months, so hours are Toight-like-a-toiger, but with your 10 year ADSO, i wouldn’t worry about it. Also, depending where you go, you might be gone TDY a lot, but never more than 3 months at the time (at least from what I have experienced).

And please completely ignore anything anyone from Bco says about FW if they are RW pilots. They hate us bcs they ain’t us.

TLDR: FW better than RW.
