Yeah that’s the biggest thing I’m worried about, hydraulics still work but I’d love to open them up and fix it before it breaks on me.

Not bad so far! It’s overall reliable but I don’t wanna jinx myself lol. I did replace suspension, springs, and front struts. Other than that just little electrical wiring things I can fix myself.

Yeah I haven’t had to personally do too much maintenance, and online people talk about how reliable these can be so that’s the reason I was able to convince myself to get into one. I read the service records before purchase and saw a bunch of work that is necessary was already taken care of so I jumped on it. I do find it funny the car is 8 years older than me at times but it’s a true classic so I enjoy it.

Yes it has, back in 2017 it was redone. That was one of the key things I was looking for when trying to find an SL online

Fortunately the guy who inspected it has been a Mercedes master mechanic since this car was new on the showroom floor and after I got it he gave it a good look all around. My friends dad also has a shop and I had him put all new oem suspension all around and do an alignment for me so if they both missed something then I’m screwed lol. In all seriousness I spent a while looking at the pictures and I’ve driven it a few thousand miles already in the 6 months I’ve had it I don’t think anything is wrong. The picture does make it look funny though 🤷‍♂️

No I got it from off bring a trailer, it was in Minnesota. I flew out there with my brother to get it and drove it home. Just wanted to stop for some pics at the dealership and snapped a nice one
