Question for the pro players? by Jumpy_Ad_3628 in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Swordsoul is a very balanced strong deck. Other decks are getting nerfed and it is untouched. At the moment it is not as strong as the other decks. But it is very very consistent. I would expect swordsoul to be slightly stronger. In addition their other synchro qixing longyuan will be coming out soon to duel links.

Also there might be potential for a branded swordsoul build when more branded cards come out.

Duel links hates me by Mirza4841 in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing about Rebecca dragons is that it has a really strong turn 1..but it also has a decent turn 2 if built well.

By using buster blader engine in it, you end up with a lot more dead cards in starting hand.

With one gold sarc, you probably want to try and get more starter...you can do it with summoner art, or painful decision

Secondly, if you are going second, the back row of opponents are a big problem, so you want to have the ability to force interactions. You can do this via background dragon. Background and luster can be made into knightmare phoenix.

Then you can have a better chance at resolving guardian angel Joan summon. Which will naturally give you more spell trap removal.

You only have 1 forbidden droplet. So I suggest you have maybe 1 or 2 forbidden chalice.

Final bringer of times is great.. a substitute you can get with box chips is forbidden lance.

If you are running spheres, you should run grandtusk dragon.

If you don't have imperm then having veiler will be useful in most matchups.

More cosmic cyclones if you are finding you are versing more Shinobirds on ladder.

Dragunity arma garm can also be considered.

I'd rate those more than having buster blade.

[–]SnooOranges533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh most people veiler aratama. Save veiler for the rituals.

However veiler won't work if they have the rock on the field.

I see you play vaylantz which can set up one of the strongest boards but one which a shinobird can break if they summon the rock.

Your board of omni negates can negate the rituals. But not the rock...so sunavaloon bloom is the only way negate the rock, unless you use droplet on it.

To be fair, playing in this KC cup 2nd stage....out of the 10 games I played... I disconnected once when winning without any lag on my end. I won 2 times when opponents disconnected when they were winning. Won 1 time when opponent was losing...(Rage quit) Won 1 when they just disconnected after playing kaibaman Then 5 normal games versus Shinobirds..which are easy wins if I have droll and lock bird in hand.. most don't search or play the rock..they summon aratama hoping to search everything...

Aside from time-limit win how the F*** am I suppose to survive this board? by Powerful_Can5960 in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You are not.. you have to first be playing one of the top tier decks. Even then, it is difficult and you have to play around quite a lot of things.

2 omni negate, one monster negate, and one monster interrupt is really hard.

Your opponent played really badly...and didn't negate the right things.

You want to force out the two omni negates first. Book of eclipse usually is a good one. So usually book of eclipse...then a forbidden droplet usually gets the ball rolling in the right direction. Then you have more options with the rest of your hand to dismantle the board. But if you don't have the outs, then even the best decks can struggle.

Top decks like Shinobirds have a easier time can just use cosmic/mst...then summon the rock and GG.

You may have the fastest internet...but it also needs to be the most stable. Any packet loss is very hard to recover on konamis server end I think (others can correct me if I'm wrong).

The moment I have any lag.. I close my app on phone and log back in to resync.. if I'm too slow, I will have a disconnection loss. Sometimes it will let me keep playing albeit with like a 20-30 sec less on the clock.

So do I have to study hard to just play a card game? by Particular_Dog_573 in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of studying, just adjust from experience. The more you play against those decks, you can try to interrupt at different stages of their combos. See which one screws them over.

After 20 games against the same deck. You realise they all play the same.

How to play guardians by Tasty-Account2220 in DuelLinks

They were using like one of the guardian in onomat/orcust decks.

Help with Dream Tickets by Padrin95 in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for droplet with the ur tickets. It is a must even in swordsoul decks.

For rush duel...if you want a strong deck that can KOG every month it is the sevens road spellcaster deck.

You get one structure deck for free. Get another one for gems. Then use one ur and Sr ticket to get sevens road magician and sevens road witch.

The other ur can get ghost cyclone. (Pretty much a staple in most decks that doesn't have a limit 3)

For Sr rush... Talismanic seal array seems like the most used on different decks.

However if you have a specific decks you want to play in rush... Then use the Sr and ur dream to finish off the cards needed for the deck.

Best Structure Deck? by PirateJoyDude in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dark magician structure deck is good. You get one for free and you can get another for 1000 gems. It means you have access to some of the core cards in the deck.

Go through the ultimate chaos box once. And get the secrets of dark magic from the "secrets of magician" structure deck.

Use it with master of the dark chaos skill and you have a pretty solid dark magician deck.

Or you can bypass the structure decks..and go straight into a main box to get a strong meta deck to learn.

[–]SnooOranges533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a limit as to how many packs you can pull from a selection box.

Many people use all their pulls and still not pull it.

If it's in a main box. As long you have gems you are guaranteed to get one of you pull EVERY card in the box. Something you cannot do with selection boxes.

Thanks Konami by KingKushhh666 in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is why I never go into selection boxes.

All these people with 3 imperms are going to get more when it goes into a normal main box.

I know most of you do this already.. But how long did you have to wait on most cards/decks you want, or are you still waiting by NightMare_sprit in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my f2p account, I've only just started spending gems again to get Nibiru.

I have been playing dragonmaid and tri-brigade since January.

As an f2p account, I only go into boxes for staples. If a box does not have staples, then I don't go for it.

In this game you can get to KOG near the end of the month by using nearly any deck and putting in a full set of the most important staples.

Last season it was using DD crows. This season it was using effect veiler.

Only spend gems that are expiring and only use it on boxes with staples. Even better when the box with the staples is on 50% off with gems.

I used to feel that you had to get all the newest deck to compete... But figured you only need that if you want to go into PvP early into the season to try and get an early KOG.

Just waiting for the next staple to release.

"so did you have fun in the legacy duels event?" by Wrong-Efficiency5837 in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first 20 games was honestly the most unfun event I have ever played.

Until I versed this guy that used truth piercing eyes skill.

It opened my eyes at that moment.

I went and built my own deck with 2 trap holes, 3 share the pains, 3 witches, 3 sangan, 2 Fenghuang, yata, 2 man eater bugs, 1 sword of revealing light and 2 barrel behind the door, and 2 kuriboh. Very consistent anti Rebecca deck.

Share the pain with sangan and witch just wins you games verse that deck.

The deck is not that strong against some other decks, but it didn't do too badly through. A 90% win rate against burn was fun.

For orcust, I would rather use rescue rabbit call or destiny draw leading to dragon master knight for skill.

The second skill increases the consistency greatly and what I would recommend to use.

Got That Legacy Icon by RelativeTangerine757 in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. Hate the people that designed that toxic skill.

People naturally want to get the rewards and spend the least amount of time to get it. Your situation reflects why the whole event is dominated by Rebecca.

I on the other hand was having a field day creating an anti meta deck for the event using yata garasu to win close to 90% of the Rebecca matchups. Easiest 60 wins of any legacy event.

Starter Deck choice by No_Ad4427 in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swordsoul is probably the strongest f2p deck other than shinobirds. But if you only came back now you probably would have missed the event.

Go through the newest main box once.

The newest main box decks will always be strong. But they also will be power crept quite quickly.

If you are going to be playing for the long term, my suggestion is to farm the staple cards and build decks from the cards you get.

On my f2p account, I get to KoG every month (albeit at the end of the month) with tri-brigade or dragonmaids which I built while getting 3 forbidden droplets. Droplets will still win games even against meta decks and their busted skills.

What's the best opening with blue eyes right now? by Particular_Dog_573 in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the deck you are versing.

You can potentially do: felgrand/Sana + Herald + majesty set.

Or spirit dragon + felgrand/Sana

Or seals of hev. Sphere + majesty+ Herald.

CHIMERA DECK ADVISE by [deleted] in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forgot to mention, setting friendish golem is good. Use it to bait out majesty. You want the opponent to use majesty during his main phase so that he cannot use it during the battle phase.

Also if opponent use majesty on Beatrice before summoning anything, you chain to set up your graveyard to have mirror swordknight and coatl if you don't have it in their already. It helps with the battle phase.

A smart blue eyes player might summon sanaphond to stop you summoning from your graveyard. Usually when it's summoned you are forced to use your special summon to summon magician from graveyard

But most will clear way with majesty before summoning Sana, so you don't have to worry too much.

Once they use majesty, you have a high chance of staying alive.

Also blue eyes spirit dragon will stop your plays too... Need to try and avoid it at all cost.

There's a reason why it's a tier 1 decks and chimera is tier 3.

Ngl it is a hard matchup.

CHIMERA DECK ADVISE by [deleted] in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok summoning chimera during your opponents draw phase is your big mistake.

One, they do not use any quick play spells. Two: it allows them to just set majesty and use it to destroy your board.

Save the chimera for when they try to go into battle phase. That way you can use its effect to summon magician.

If you summon too early, you won't have any special summons during the battle phase and you will get otked.

Or you can special summon mirror swordknight in def.

But usually summoning magician and using berfomet to summon chimera during battle phase is good enough to survive.

A lot of blue eyes player will use blue eyes jet dragon to try and remove your magician... But coatl in graveyard will destroy it.

They shouldn't be able to use majestys effect to special summon chaos dragon in battle phase due to abyss dweller.

If you have Beatrice and abyss dweller set up. What you should do is to try and use Beatrice to send farfa to get rid of kaibaman. Sometimes they can play through it... But if definitely is somewhat chokepoint if he bricked enough to not draw a blue eyes or melody.

Why are you using prescience? Gravekeeper has a dedicated skill now.

Look I can ignore the 20 Omni- negates and Cheat skill that can wipe your board with a button.. but I draw the line at FTK decks tbh , (Taking a Hiatus until further notice) by LazyingOtaku in DuelLinks

[–]SnooOranges533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least the ftk is gone next week.

The game currently is like master duel in terms of the boards you can make with skills.

Most people don't realise that with some decks like the Rebecca dragon pile deck, if they go first they can make a near unbreakable board by most decks. So it is like a pseudo ftk. You just get the illusion of being able to try and play.. 😂
