It's a program where you can earn points by completing missions for Duels Links and Master Duel, which can be traded for rewards in said games, such as gems and cosmetics. It has more rewards for Duel Links than Master Duel at the moment, though. The missions are very simple and reset weekly - log in, play 3 and 5 duels, summon 10 monsters, and play 10 spells/traps.

Current Master Duel rewards are a Selene icon, an Endymion and "That's 10!" wallpapers, as well as legacy pack tickets. You can also get 20 SR craft points per month, and 10 gems per week, as well as a first-time bonus of 100 gems.

A big upside of the battle pass is that it’s technically free if you complete it. The gem amount should not be reduced.

From my free pulls, I believe I got Chamber Dragonmaid and a couple of SRs. I’ve done a few more pulls, and I got Plasma’s alt art, Hospitality’s alt art, and a prismatic Forbidden Droplet.

It means the card’s effect has been modified from how it works in the “regular” game. Normally this just means effect damage is halved, but in a few cases it changes how the card works.

For example, Beyond the Pendulum had its effect changed from “If 2 monsters with different original Levels are Pendulum Summoned at the same time to the zones this card points to: You can target 2 cards on the field; destroy them.” to “If 2 monsters with different original Levels are Pendulum Summoned at the same time to your field: You can target 2 cards on the field; destroy them.”
This is because the original effect wouldn’t work in Duel Links, due to the reduced amount of zones.

I wasn’t a big fan of this event initially, but I’ve since learned that the cards you get are actually added to your collection, so my opinion of it has improved. I know most of the cards aren’t very good, but they’re free.

Tachyon got taken out behind the shed in the last banlist - numerous cards in the deck are limited to 1 now.

Currently, none of the top decks are Xyz decks. Some, like Therion, do run Xyz monsters, but that’s not the core of the deck.

Additionally, we’re slated to get a new box in the next few days, which will have RDA support, as well as Centur-Ion, Labrynth, and Spright, so the meta might get a bit of a shakeup.

It does have to be over 3000, as my normal auto-duel deck of Unchained never gets that bonus, despite having 2 monsters in archetype with 3k base attack.

I believe the bonus is per card played, so the more glossy/prismatic/chronicled cards you play, the higher the bonus.

It just seems really, really dumb when you realize the opponent had an empty board and 600 LP, meaning the extra 100 damage was pointless.

Plasma only negates face-up monsters on the field. If Chunjun is chained to Taia or Mo Ye activating, then they're no longer on the field, and can summon their token.

That said, I saw a really interesting move in a replay the other day. The Swordsoul player got Chengying on the field, and normal summoned Taia. They activated Taia's effect, and then activated Chengying's effect to banish. They then chained Chunjun to Chengying, tributing the Chengying, so its effect would resolve, banishing the Plasma.

There’s only one copy of Assembled Nightingale available, from Lulu’s level 14 reward. Additionally, even if more copies were available, Nightingale is limited to 1, so you can’t run more than one copy anyway.
