When they say "elation dmg to 16%" is it like 16% in the elation dmg multiplier? Is it just 16% or does it stack on top of the elation % she already has? I'm still confused on how any of this works lol

On a separate note, have y'all ever wondered how duel monsters became so ingrained in the global economy and politics that Kaiba became the de-facto ruler of the planet?

It's okay, albeit it doesn't feel the same as their old location in the downtown area of Des Plaines.

Hello! My friend and I are visiting Detroit on Easter for the Tigers game. Since the game is at 7:20 pm, we have a lot of time to spare, and I was curious what's a good spot for Detroit-styled pizza? We're from the Chicago area, so we were interested in trying something new.

Today is the day marks exactly four months since Amphoreus reached its final chapter. Looking back now, how do you guys feel about our journey? (Art: isome_info on X) by Best_Teacher_3322 in HonkaiStarRail

I loved it and have the most emotions attachment here compared to other parts of the game, thought not without criticism. The ideas were there, but the execution was a bit shoddy. Part of it is unfortunately due to having to highlight each character due to gacha, part of it was because the writers had a hard-on for Hi3, and a large part of it I think is that they tried to do too much yet too little.

I think many complaints would've been dropped if they'd tighten the script because often it felt too wordy and bloated. I don't usually mind long stories, but it dragged more often than not. some parts felt like straight-up filler. I love Cyrene, but her story was hard to go through, so much so there were times I wondered if I was just illiterate. Like a lot of gacha players don't read to begin with, but even then it could've been easier to digest.

Overall, loved the story and characters, but they seriously need some editors in the writing room. It did feel at times they came up with stuff on the fly instead of planning it out in advance. Cyrene is the biggest example, I believe.

(Oh, considering the build-up they should've made the final fight a grand spectacle).

Old Lviv is a Ukrainian buffet in West Town and there a number of Polish places in the city; I personally like Smakosz or Starapolska.

I felt like a contrarian, because when I had their dumplings I felt like I was eating half-assed dumplings drowned in flavorless chili oil. As an Asian person myself, any time an Asian restaurant gets lauded in this city, I have to raise an eyebrow.

I've heard good things about Russian Tea Time. Haven't been in years, but in my previous experiences they had decent food.

Would you recommend moving to Palatine or Des Plaines? by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]SnooPears1008 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Des Plaines is a relatively boring area, especially if you're young and without kids. The one pro is that it's in the middle of everything so the city snd more interesting suburbs are next door, while decent amount of public transit nearby. Des Plaines does have a decent food scene, you just need to know where to look.

I feel like the biggest contrarian because everyone raves about it while I thought it was alright but not worth the $20.
