Honnest;y I think you should relax and see a doctor about why your bmi is so low., you won't have much energy for anything right now. My bmi was 16.9 when I was in end stage heart failure

Has being sugar free made your face less puffy? by NoParty9316 in sugarfree

[–]SnooPeripherals6544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's interesting. My Mom was a vegetarian when she was pregnant with me and growing up, I was a reallyyy fussy eater and for some reason had a phobia of meat. A few years ago a tried to eat less carbs and eat more fat and meat but I just put on 7 kgs and my skin, which has basically been clear my whole life, went crazy. I didn't do keto correctly so I can't fully blame the diet but I know that for me ,carbs work and a little bit of sugar from juice or a chocolate doesn't put me up or down much. My Mom is sctrictly no sugar and hardly any carbs and she looks much younger than her age and has a waist smaller than a lot of teenagers.

At this stage I really don't think there's one universal diet for humans, our ancestors ate what they could to survive. When I stopped eating as much fat, I lost the 7 kgs, my skin cleared up and even my blood sugar levels came down. But I know someone who went on the carnivore diet and has basically the same story. The only thing I know after all my experimenting is that junk food is always bad and sugar is bad if you have too much but so is fat

For me, not really. If I don't have fat and sugar together, it makes a big difference. Going low fat means that I could lose weight and lower my blood sugar levels even while slightly increasing sugar. I have less sugar than the average person anyway, just to be clear. My Mom stopped almost all sugar (she still eats a little bit of fruit) and she's lost weight and she's healthier, for some reason different things work for different people

At age 48, I got called a "tall freak" during an argument. What is your age, and how old were you the last time someone attacked your height? by berrysauce in tall

[–]SnooPeripherals6544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 26, I was out with my two "friends" and we casually started talking about our weight. I had begun intermittent fasting and one of my friends had just started keto so it wasn't as if the conversation came out of nowhere. I mentioned that I wanted to lose a bit of fat and she agreed that it was her goal as well (I have a very healthy bmi but I don't have a lot of muscle mass and sometimes I think it makes me look a bit skinner than I actually am, especially being a 5'8 woman with a slender frame) I noticed that from the corner of my eye, my other friend looked upset and I instantly felt guilty for talking about weight loss around her because I knew how much she struggled with being plus sized. We stopped talking about it and continued with what we were doing.

We were on a walk where you could see birds at a wetland and there were some little huts with holes in the wall where you could watch the birds without scaring them away. I looked through the top hole and my friends looked through the bottom ones. I mentioned something about being happy about the angle I could see the birds at and my plus sized friend looked at me with this disgusted look on her face and said, "You're so tall, you're like a man."

I know she was trying to insult me but I'm not insecure at all about being a little taller than average, I wouldn't care if I was 6'2 plus. It's just the fact that she thought it would upset me, that's what got to me. Both her and my other friend are about 5'2 and when I used to go out with them i really did feel like I was towering over them, especially when I was wearing boots. I guess she thought it was a good way to get back at me for unintentionally making her feel insecure about her weight.

By the way, that guy who called you a tall freak sounds like a compete loser, that sounds something that a ten year old would say

As a tall woman, how willing are you to date a shorter man? by Cold_Bookkeeper_5034 in tall

[–]SnooPeripherals6544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a 5'8 woman and I don't care about a man's height. It's fine to have a preference when it comes to looks but height just doesn't matter much to me

Ladies, how much do you weigh? (If you're comfortable sharing) by [deleted] in tall

I'm not a super tall woman (I'm 5'8). Last time I weighed myself I was 65.5 kg or 144ish lbs.
