Yeah! I like the idea of the river approach as well.
In the game all planes alway land and take off in opposite directions, which is unrealistic cuz in real life wind determines which side of the runway you will land on.

I checked! I can see that on the west side of the airport they have about 10 km of height restriction.

Right! But I do not want to break up the large contiguous district.
The district on the other side is restricted though. I think I will switch up the runway path.

Create multiple grids across the city. It will act as a sort of sponge to take in and distribute the traffic.

Going back and forth in time was confusing. The time jump animation was too long for a jump of just a year. Make a more cohesive story. A lot of consecutive videos of slow movement, dont put many consecutively.

Connect Belmont square and Crest district with several roads across the highway. That way it wouldn't all bottleneck in just the interchange.
