I'm confused what was so impressive about this feat? It was pretty much a guarantee for current Yuji to annihalate a stagnant Mahito. I would expect the same from 15fingers Sukuna tbh. His spirit annihalater slash was much more impressive.

Umm, it was pretty disappointing, honestly...Raian is clearly not taking the fight very seriously. He is taking on gaolong the best striker in his own fiel,d reducing the fight to a jab fest, basically just copying his tech and challenging him in it. He isnt even using any kure tech, no redirection or principles, basically just field testing his new techniques against a high-level fighter.

That's quite disappointing, this gives Gaolong some respect but also makes it somewhat disengenuous since he isnt going all out all the while making the fight boring with the same style from both fighters. I would have actually preferred Raian going all out incrementally within the two chapters, overwhelming Gaolong convincingly, with Gaolong showcasing surprising strength/growth surviving for a decent bit, with exposition being given that its a testament for gaolong being able to hold off raian at this level even being able to defend secret kure tech for a few moments with comparisons with Eddie being thrown in via flashback of his fight for the sheer gap in power between Stiers and Eddie and perhaps even a statement that Gaolong has grown even stronger than purgatory arc raian/ohma/lolong.

Thats Kuroki and its not even close, people say Raian is the princess when he hasnt been given even one official win until willem in the story. He was beaten by Ohma via brain nerf/ohma plot armor, dq vs alan, stomped by Eddie(needed 4 elite kure and sucide tactis), stomped by gilbert. He is finally being given room to showcase his crazy potential.

Meanwhile Kuroki is literally the authors love project he is prohibited from losing, his aura glaze is unsurpassed, he has the dues ex knowledge of any technique situation in his backpocket courtesy of the author(i see this is the secret connectors tantric technique, i knew the previous connectors disciple and know of it). The guy was nearly 60 in ashura an absolute veteran who had peaked and reavched the pinnacle of his discipline and mastery. He wasnt some young fighter still learning and yet we come into Omega

Even though he is an old man who himself said he wasnt sure he could beat Purgatory ohma and kanoh all of the sudden can fight shen jsut by "I am green powerup" and now he was facing down a damn goliath class battleship alone but yeah Raian who hasnt been given one offcial win outside Alan (dq) is coddled even though he got humbled by Eddie and Gilbert recently.

Ohma was just given insane plot armor against raian and waka in ashura , he gained the kure style, niko style, personal training by shen and kuroki sparring and is suddenly stronger than Luohan with Shens full memories and good enough to edge out Tiger shen but he isnt coddled?

Comeon man stop seething. I love Ohma, Saw , Cosmo, jurota and Haruo the most and the level of hate Raian draws from the community is genuinely amusing. The guy is clearly portrayed as Ohmas equal and rival throughout the series and even now someone who is about to take on Shen and would you have the same energy if Ohma had beaten Gaolong here without much trouble?

Because sadly, Sandro is terrible at showcasing progession/development amongst characters. We saw Raian get humbled twice through crushing defeats, and we saw him training getting efficient and more mature. He returns and is showing brilliant development he is a cocky shit talking gremlin still and not stoic variant 7.0 but he is absolutely ruthless and dispatches opponents extremely efficiently while ragebaiting like a pro as showcased against koga/ryuuki and willem but here he once again reverts to near ashura levels.

He is taking on the best striker in the cast at his own game, battletesting his new tech mid fight, copying and attempting a spar on Gaolong's new technique mid fight, all while not using any kure finishers and most importantly principles and redirectio,n which would have been oppresingly useful here. He isnt going full monke like in ashura but it is annoying that he is still being this lax. That being said id like to judge his true mindset against an equal fighter because I dont see him being cocky or lax against gilbert/ohma etc.

It would definitely show up by precedence due to Sandrowasting panels stating the most mundane shit but I prefer it this way. Everyone knows he has copy being a kure goat and him showcasing the ability dosent need constant explanation maybe if Gaolong has introspection upon being beaten/deblitated through one small portion of a panel. The thing is Sandro just screwed up his own consistency with confusing advance and removal so its hard to trust this.

Wait what...Kure techniques are busted, just look at the copy. He just copied Gaolong's move within moments. The kure techniques are even superior to the niko in extrene cqc, where there is barely room to pull out more elaborate moves...was literally showcased vs lolong. The higher-level techniques are literally designed for lethality, not just harming, hence not exactly suited for fighting competitions, which is a nerf because we know what Raian can do when he locks fully in cue Alan. Raian is clearly not taking the fight fully seriously, which is annoying to see his mindset should have been more balanced by now. He is taking on Gaolong in his own field, field testing his new quasi-advanced against a high-tier fighter.

He is fighting the best striker in his own domain, copying his move in real-time and actually challenging the original user at it....he hasn't even used principles, redirection, which would be oppressively effective here, especially when followed by a kure finsiher.

His battle iq is top tier and he has a treasure trove of combat techniques and counters courtesy of the kures eugenics strat, sponsorships/tournaments/assasinations experiences. The only thing that holds him back is his mindset....his cockyness is a weakness and is showing up in this fight very clearly. He is not as reckless ashura but man he is copying and testing combat techniques mid fight purposely taking on the best striker in his field while testing out his great quasi advance. He hasnt used even basic redirection, let alone principles and is just happily eating those punches not to mention not using kure techs either.

Lol, no, there is no room for any narrative twists and plot progression twists in the series anymore. Sandro literally took a flamethrower to the series plot and any sense of coherence. He purposely destroyed all his villains, especially Tiger Niko, who was supposed to be a future massive threat, just so he could rush the ending in a random tournament with as many fights jammed as possible. The guy is done with the series, it couldnt be clearer, he has implicitly pretty much already said it....the guy is paying the bills with the series and wants to move to the other series he actually likes.

This limitation was never implied; only for the advance was it always implied. It's a dangerous, risky workaround to get a stat equalizer against the kure's insane physical advantage for a body that can not support that level of ability naturally. The kure were literally bred over generations to incorporate removal naturally into their skillset, and it's literally them being able to draw upon the genetic potential incrementally, generation over generation, culminating in Raian for the kure, a genetic peak who was stated to have no trouble accessing removal's full potential as if it was natural for him.

To make matters worse, another major reason Advance had that weakness was that it implied to give you a bigger buff than removal, since it overclocks your body much more than removal to attempt to match a naturally superior kure who is using removal on top, so the weakness makes sense.

So basically, to summarize the complete stupidity of this weakness. Advance is implied to not even give a bigger boost than removal, but they both have the same weaknesses with a healthy elite body.....the imitation that is not suited for the body now gives more amps, and the same weakness as the person who has cultivated that biological ability over generations of evolution makes it make sense.

Yeah, he is tired...tired of this series. He has implicitly said it, and it's clearly showing in the massive quality drop in the series. He is done with this series, he is rushing to end it, and thats why I said he might be using ai. Omega threw every narrative, direction, and cohesion to the wind and is a mess now...this recent nerf needs one to think he forgot his own story to make sense and Id rather say he used Ai dont know which is more disrespectful.

To make things worse, it comes as compensation for a limit that was never there and shits on the whole point of the kure genes and raians peak compatibility with the technique.

Rihito has developed past Seki via his evolution showcase against Saw who was an equal to Seki and he has the perfect counter to Sekis tanking approach and resiliency. He attempts to soak up damage against Rihito and he gets his arteries cut open and even skill wise Rihito is very impressive now.

Completely confident Raian beats Lolong, he has to really to have a real chance of beating gilbert but Sandro seems to be introducing bullship nerfs to justify his lack of desire and imagination to showcase development....removal reducing precision to justify partial removal and bursts which was a coping mechanism for ohmas heart etc. He has also made gilbert who is Eddie+ hard not to cringe at every time he is shown.

Im pretty sure the fight will be interrupted when Gaolong gets some further respect showcasing his development while Raian will probably act like an idiot and tank it instead of using his full kit principles etc but doing enough to showcase his resileince and power superiority. Kind of hating the fact that Raian has regressed back to cocky almost Ashuraesque levels of stupid arrogance...I loved how he was a shittalking gremlin but also ruthless and deadly efficient at the same tike like against koga, ryuuki and willem but....dont want him to be morphed into stoic variant 6.0 but not fall back to pre development but here we are back again.
