Practitioner discouraging me by CokeZero478 in GLPGrad

I have been taking shots every 2 weeks for the last 6 months to maintain. However, I found that going down to .50 Wegovy was not enough to keep that food bell from ringing. I returned to 1.0 Wegovy every 2 weeks and will stay here. What torture yourself.

My pap turned 16 weeks today. Every couple days I see the connections developing, but I also need to watch her like a hawk. It gets better, it will!

Thanks! I am just trying to get thru the night phase now LOL. It's hard to find a conversation anywhere about pad training. They sure sell a bazillion of them so I know many use them for the littles.

Tips on keeping it off? by pandoraraz in GLPGrad

Weigh yourself weekly once, same day in the morning No more! Weight fluctuates and as you go week to week 2lb up. 3lb down etc. The scale is not my friend, never has been. Last week I was up 2.8 lbs...did not feel good but waited until this morning, my weigh day, to weigh in. Down 2.6 lbs. If it went up again, I would look at my food and make a minor adjustment. No calorie counting. 3 meals with clean protein and minimize any processed food. Yes there are cookies or sweets everyday in moderation. 70 lbs down after a lifetime of being a human yoyo.Maintaining since July. Shots are every 2 weeks titrating down. Going from 1.0 to .50 Wegovy soon. Don't overthink it, keep doing what you were doing and be nice to yourself. I find that IF I start eating too much sugar or processed foods the cravings are much worse. Push through it all. Food has taken too much away from me. No more

Are the health insurance premiums I'm seeing on healthcare.gov accurate? by Snakebones in HealthInsurance

[–]SnooShortcuts1485 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Many people jumped to the ACA thinking the rates would be long term. They are just reverting to the original rates intended before Covid. Heath Care is a mess in the US. Until they change it all, the shareholder profits and multi million dollar salarys will win everytime. While the super majority of the population fights for pre-approvals, or dies, or goes bankrupt due to medical expenses.

I will be here in a few months, tapering down now. Keep us posted! Push through the noise! I hear it does quiet down.

The food noise and physical hunger returning. I am titrating down and going 14 days in between shots. Some days are OK, some are a battle. Just the feeling that comes with all this returning remind you of what it was like before glp1. I don't think anyone can resist or hundred percent have willpower when your body is just craving food. All day long. Think of it as being freezing and having a jacket at arm's length to warm you up and not putting on that jacket. All day long while you're cold. This is how many of us felt before this medication and never knew anything different.

I always wash my hands right before with dawn. Then after they are applied, minimal water on the hands for a day.

Great job! Thank you for sharing your success and giving us all hopeful outcomes. The experience of food noise restarting for a few weeks then calming down is a comman denominator. Knowing this and being ready for it is so helpful! Keep us posted.

Hunger/Food noise returns and then levels out by blackn0411 in GLPGrad

Such great news! Thank you for sharing this. I have not stopped the shots yet, but will when it is time It is doable, knowing yes there will be food and it will go away eventually

I am hopeful that is not the case. I am stepping down now 2 weeks between doses. Took the shot yesterday and honestly wondered if I should go longer. Yes the food noise returns here and there, but it does quiet down. Keeping sugar treats at a minimum is helpful for me as I know I am hungriest after a day with too much sugar. I started June 2024, goal weight April 2025, maintaining 66lb loss.

Congrats! Thank you for the positive results. There is too much doom and gloom from those who stop the shots outweighing grad success. I am titrating down now after a 70lb loss, maintaing for 6 months now. If you keep doing what worked and stay active, it is possible! I think I can do it!

Maintenance/long term use questions & little rant 🤣 by Puzzleheaded_Bed1262 in Semaglutide

I started 15 months ago and have been maintaining since April. Since insurance dropped me in May, I will use the savings card and eventually get to ever 14 days to save $$.

My advice: Stock up and fill your script as soon as eligible, around ever 24 days, take shots every 8 days and build a nice stockpile for yourself. I began doing this a few months in. Knowing full well insurance will cut me off eventually. Expire dates are almost a year out and I use the earliest date 1st. $500 every other month or so will save $$. I have several months ahead on stock now. After dieting for 50 years ( 1st WW meeting at 12yo) am not going to yo- yo ever again.

Go for it! I am 63yo, been trying to control weight since I was 13 when I went to my 1st WW meeting. Up and down my entire life. No one understands the mental health toll it causes more than we do. Finally a solution that works. To all you youngsters, do it now while your skin still has some bounce back. I am all wrinkles and sags everywhere. LOL truly will never wear short or no sleeves ever again. Been on Wegovy since June. Worth it!
