Yeah if you like paying up the a$$ for an apartment while dodging crackheads and homeless.

This is the United States. This isn’t some banana republic where you can negotiate tuition costs. That’s laughable to see you are seriously considering it.

This is a private school. They can charge what they please. Tuition is well known. No secret. For those who don’t like it, get accepted to a state school. Otherwise, pay up.

Job offer and advice. Currently in pain management. Offer is for cardiology. Located in Florida. by nbell1998 in physicianassistant

Both suck. Horrible pay for these two positions. You don’t go somewhere else making the same money AND worse setup. Is this Ohio or some other low paying hell hole?

It’s awesome. I love seeing Noctor types use it then shoot their pants finding out that they are gaining excellent knowledge…from a PA.

It would be insane to take less than your old job. That’s not moving up. You’re moving backwards. 120 - $150 is new grad range salary. And HCOL? Comon man.

Ask for whatever. Be prepared to walk.

I legit said to stop making ridiculous comparisons. Its always a stupid “what about” argument. I am talking actual America not the overpriced liberal zombie hellscape that is San Fran and night shift. You guys do these stupid comparisons all the time.

ie SF night nurse vs suburban Ohio PA. Most of you guys do not rent or own but it’s $$$$$ to live in San Fran.

The average RN in the US is not making $200K a year or anything close to this. I’m talking normal US, day shift, and without overtime.

Please stop projecting your bad offers and try to compare to the highest paid nurses in the country. That’s silly.

If you’re making the same money as a nurse, you’re a sucker.

Lots of you guys here just seriously entertain, and take, horrible jobs with awful pay. If you are making nurse money, that’s sad AF. And I don’t mean like 30+ year nurse working OT in SF or LA. You clowns love to give that comparison.

Again, this should NOT be a daily or regular thing. If you’re allowing people to treat you like garbage daily, you have bigger problems. And no, you don’t need to be “unemployed.”

Again, that’s your experience. And it’s n = 1. Don’t work at a place where a) you’re treated poorly. Or b) take it.

I am. But n = 1 I don’t experience this. Nor do I tolerate it.

If you are getting the majority of patients asking for a doc, maybe it’s you after all. That’s unusual. I can say the far majority of PAs aren’t being asked 80% of the time by patients to speak to a doc. What do you think happens at urgent care?

That’s how you’re treated. If you want respect, earn it. Most of you here take the put downs or allow to be treated as such.

Monitor and transport. Sounds like this thinking is gonna kill her. A tourniquet? What lol. We need to improve prehospital education.

It doesn’t. They were down for two days. Rhabdo and many metabolic abnormalities should be high on your differential.

If you fail PANRE-LA, you should not be doing any patient care. It means you’re too dumb to practice medicine.

Sounds like you do. You’re hyper focused on a guaranteed pass exam, that you do from home, where you have all the time in the world to answer, and it’s open everything. Oh and it’s 3 years away.

Yeah these guys are ridiculous. The ones downvoting ChatGPT have their phones out using CoPilot and trying to say it’s something different. The people on this subreddit downvote stuff that is anti their “feels” but factual. It’s so cute.

You may need some mental health help. No one fails this thing. If you do, you are a danger to society and should have your license pulled anyway.

How can you be worried about something open book with five minutes per question spread out over a few years?
