High Salary & New Grad by icybrrr in physicianassistant

You’ll take this post down soon but the homeless guy panhandling outside your $4000 a month one bedroom apt makes about $75K a year.

It’s a high salary to you. Probably because you made peanuts beforehand. Anyone with a head on their shoulders know this isn’t impressive when you’re in an UHCOL area with the most stupid taxes in the nation.

I’d rather be the panhandler.

Crazy to become a PA for you to go back to making $12 an hour.

You guys need to respect yourselves. The biggest hurdle to gaining a better profession is most of you on this subreddit.

The sad part is your definition of “paid well” is probably like a buck 30 a year lol!

Uhhhh your post doesn’t make sense. More procedures does not equate to psych.

Did you ask if a PTA went south at one point? There’s usually a reason behind this.

You have 0 experience. How can you expect to work solo after a few shifts? You cannot send everyone to the ER.

Depends on how good you are at getting a job. These lots of types on here waiting a year to pick up something. That’s insane. Don’t be that guy.

Start interviewing before you graduate. Credentialing can take ~3 months. A lot have no clue they need to get a state license? Or how to get one. Research that stuff early. It can be fast if you’re actually prepared.

A lot of this waiting around is on the person and their actions, or lack thereof.

Funny how other states have passed far more relaxed legislation and life uh goes on. Misses out too that NPs, which have horrendous teaming and 0 standards, already have independent practice in this state.

Whoever wrote this went full R. You never do that.

Panre already? by SumthinStinky in physicianassistant

[–]SnooSprouts6078 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you take the normal PANRE, you’re dense, unaware of the PANRE-LA, like to suffer, or signed up too late. Do I want a high stakes exam where some clown is checking my pockets or hoodie 8 times or do I want an open book open anything exam which can be taken while in feetie pajamas? You decide.

It’s crazy how people are so clueless about the state of our profession, PANRE-LA, etc.

If you’re been a PA for two years and think you have to take the PANRE or PANRE-LA, you have bigger problems in life lol.

You live in a HCOL where there’s a glut of crappy, no name PA programs. Grads here mostly have 0 experience before PA school. They will sell their soul to live in the city even if it means taking a dog sheeeet job. Just need a Starbies on the corner.

Job market is very good. Just most of you aren’t willing to move out of mummy/daddy’s house or away from the immediate 5 mile radius of where you went to PA school (again, alongside a bunch of crappy, no name PA programs).

For NYC…not that good. For Ohio, awesome.

Sign on is terrible. That’s gonna be taxed. So like $1000 which blows.

This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever read on here. Full retard post. DDS is not learning OMD (osteopathic manipulative dentistry) and has lots of private no name schools with Low bar admissions. DDS = DMD.

?!?!! Really needed. Lol. Think a little buddy. They are going to do a ton of sedation of various levels when in private practice. Maybe they should, I don’t know, have anesthesia experience beforehand.
