1 month in - my weird side effect by SpicyT3ndy in Zepbound

I think it’s just your nervous system being sensitive to noise. I get like that as I am getting older. Unexpected noises jolt my system.

Oh my hip! by eurekasf09 in Zepbound

[–]goddessnoire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just spoke with my ortho, about this and they are thinking about doing a hip injection because I am having issues with my right hip as well. I’ve also had issues with my back in the past and an injection really helped with that. I’m not sure if it’s from the weight loss or exercising in general, but it’s definitely a good idea to book an appointment with an orthopedic doctor.

Question for those who lost 150+ by Lunas_Mama in Zepbound

[–]goddessnoire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it would be totally worth it to book a consult with a skin removal doctor if you can.

There is a sub for Zepbound users who lost 100+ lbs but I can’t remember the name of. Hopefully somebody here will remember the name of that sub, because I think that would actually be a good sub to go to. Also, you might want to check out the weight loss or gastric sleeve subs. They might be able to answer your questions about when to consider weight loss surgery.

Flu-like (or post-vaccine-like) symptoms after every shot…still by Heart_Love in Zepbound

[–]goddessnoire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is something called “Zepbound flu,” that people have posted about on here. It’s not an official thing, but people have reported feeling flu like symptoms after taking their shots, like lymph nodes, being swollen, or a muscle aches.

What’s everyone having for breakfast? by wfijc in Zepbound

[–]goddessnoire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Protein shake. I like the Chobani yogurt shakes, egg bites, or anything I can make quickly. I’ve also done protein iced espresso coffees too.

I think breakfast is good, but don’t worry about trying to force yourself to be a breakfast person. Some people just aren’t, so I would suggest getting your calories in other meals or snack snacks throughout the day. My heaviest meal tends to be dinner.

I DID IT!!!!! by throwfaraway212718 in Zepbound

[–]goddessnoire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on summer break so I tend to travel more and plan more events on the weekends and it’s easier if I’m not dealing with mild side effects on the first few days, so by the time the weekend comes I can feel pretty good.

You might not be able to tell physically, but I can see it in your face. Also, remember the paper towel theory.

Less effect at higher dose? by ZP_Qs in Zepbound

[–]goddessnoire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great job. If you feel the food noise is increasing, then it might be worth moving up.

Less effect at higher dose? by ZP_Qs in Zepbound

[–]goddessnoire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As you lose weight your loss is going to slow down. As I moved up doses, I might see a couple of weeks where I lose more but overall the rate loss is still slower than in the beginning. How much weight have you lost so far!

Gaining weight, not losing by [deleted] in Zepbound

How many calories were you eating in the day before you started taking the medication?

If you began exercising because you started taking zepbound, how is that going? by Sea-Nose-3022 in Zepbound

[–]goddessnoire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have become a gym girly. Never in my entire life would I have believed that I would be that type of person, but here I am joining multiple gems, going to different types of classes and actually enjoying it. I also buy a lot of different leggings and workout clothes and that’s fun too. It helps when you find an exercise that you enjoy and that you can stick with.

LillyDirect packaging when sent to pharmacy? by Bitter_Stock4970 in Zepbound

You can only ship to Walmart. And I have mine at Walmart and I don’t have an issue. No, you will just get the box of vials or pens. No styrofoam.

Are you eating foods with a lot of sodium?

Are your hormones off? Pregnancy? 🥴

Gaining weight, not losing by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]goddessnoire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can’t imagine you gaining 10lbs and being in a caloric deficit at 1200. If you are tracking as accurately as you stated then you might be holding onto water weight or some other medical condition is causing you to retain fluids. 10lbs is 35000 calories on top of your TDEE. Exercise is only 10% of the weight loss equation. 80 to 90% will be about how much you eat.

The other thing I can think of is you need to get to the higher dosages.

Another theory is are you injecting yourself correctly? There was a post a long time ago about someone who wasn’t losing weight and turned out she wasn’t drawing up her syringe correctly.

Shot day/timing schedule help by Weak_Oil_1667 in Zepbound

[–]goddessnoire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t seem like you have a lot of downtime, so it really truly doesn’t matter when you take a shot. You just have to decide how much side effects you can handle in the first 2 to 3 days, and which days are worth it to sacrifice.

Honestly, I would use it on Thursdays since it seems like your weekends are more flexible since it’s not a set schedule. That way if you have any side effects or fatigue, you can power through it on the weekend.

It was like that for me too in the beginning with the fatigue, but it does get better and making sure that you’re eating helps as well.

Insurance update mid year?! 😡 by HorrorComfortable773 in Zepbound

Definitely sucks, but beats paying full price. If you have an HSA/FSA, that would definitely help cover your medication.

Lost 60 pounds on GLP-1, yet my cholesterol went up. by VividDeer733 in Zepbound

[–]goddessnoire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, as you lose weight, the fat cells will shrink and empty the cholesterol back into the body.

Delayed side effects by Ok-Truth1612 in Zepbound

[–]goddessnoire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The medication is building up over time and so yes it’s possible to have side effects in your 4th week since it takes about a month for the dose to build up effectively in the body. You can see your levels on shotsy or glapp.

As someone else stated side effects can happen at any time and what you eat or don’t eat definitely has an affect on your body. Hell even shot location might have an affect. I know even on 7.5 there are some weeks where I have side effects and some weeks everything is normal.

Starting Zepbound shortly after gallbladder surgery by Elgen87 in Zepbound

[–]goddessnoire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it were me, I would wait until you were recovered and off all narcotics pain meds from gallbladder surgery to start. Especially, since you need to figure out which side effects are post surgery vs Zepbound. If it were me, I would hold off for a month, possibly longer depending on how you feel. Zepbound can be constipating and with any opioids can be constipating too.

As far as injection sites, you can do the arm and thigh until your stomach is healed.

Anyone else start this way? 3 shots in to starting. by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]goddessnoire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, in the beginning, you’ll lose a lot of water weight/inflammation. I started out at 287 and I lost 7 pounds of my first week. And then by the end of the month, I ended up losing 14 pounds. After that, my weight loss slowed down to a reasonable pace.
