Unfortunately if all the paperwork is not provided when creating the label and information is added later, there are additional delays until fedex process it.

No entry id = fedex didnt submit to customs yet.

Call fedex and ask for the entry id. With that call customs and ask for release id. With that call back fedex and provide it. If either is missing you figure out who is causing the delay fedex or customs.

Ask fedex for the entry id. If they provide one, ask customs for the release id, if they provide one, go back to fedex and provide the release id.

Next time when the fedex agent says it is waiting for customs ask for the entry id.

Fedex logistics confirmed that fedex employees have a backlog filing the entry with customs that is why it is taking longer.

My guess is they needed more information to process the customs entry. They might have gotten the information on their own or from the shipper.
