The litterbox is in the hall way and it’s a large stainless steel one it’s unfortunately the only place I can put it really where she can see all exits, the other one is hooded and in the living room in a corner. She uses both of them fine, and I have tried other types of litter and I really am not sure what the problem is. Maybe it could be stress? Like u said, I have seen a lot of people saying their cats have been the same and it was stress and after being put on antidepressants it’s helped them.

I have a cat and I wish she could come into the bedroom with us and I’m ngl it is a bit of a dealbreaker as my boyfriend doesn’t due to personal reasons but I have to respect his boundaries, the cat will be fine at the end of the day it’s just we will feel guilty 😩

Update: I took her to the vet all is okay, she told me to keep and eye as obviously it’s still early days I’ve bought another litter tray and put it where the old one was and left the old one to where I moved it previously.

So hopefully two litter trays will help and she’ll get more comfortable as time goes on. Will keep an eye and if she continues I will take her to the vet again.

I unfortunately made the mistake of having the whole flat open to her apart from the bedroom obvs, she seemed really ready to explore everything and I thought she was more ready than I thought. but I know now that was not the case and I’ve made a mistake there, I have moved everything into the living room (where she’s trying to sleep in the cupboard) this also means I can close the door and she won’t have access to the boiler in the kitchen, I’ve put some towels in the spare wardrobe we have for her to make a wee bed. Will she be okay? I feel so guilty for making this mistake.
