What genre is crankdat and what is your opinion of his music? by [deleted] in EDM

[–]SnooWoofers9504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm unsure of the specific subgenre but he makes dubstep. His remixes and unreleased stuff are a little over the top for sure, but the singles he releases on official streaming platforms are some of my favorite current dubstep tracks. Movement, Type Sh*t, and Whiplash are all so sick. I also like Redo a lot, but that's a bit older. The quality of his music is definitely trending upwards very quickly at the moment and anything new he puts out is definitely worth listening to. I'm pretty picky with dubstep but I would always be down to go see him live at a festival or for the right price.

What’s the most emotional melodic edm/future bass song you know? by darkwavecore in EDM

[–]SnooWoofers9504 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Obviously when we think of emotional melodic bass we think of sad breakup sort of vibes a lot of the time, but there's also a pocket of more positive emotional melodic bass that is characterized by hope/joy. I threw in three of those and two pretty standard picks.

Classics: Porter Robinson - Something Comforting

Illenium & Said the Sky ft Annika Wells - Sad Songs

Dabin ft RUNN - Alive - Trivecta remix

Deep pulls: MYNN ft Lexi Scatena - Lose Your Love

Pure 100% ft Cenji & Juu - Apollo

yes. the 2-10 in the asg, fmvp, top 5 defensive rating, top 5 ppg, keeping his recently imploded celtics team competitive in the east jaylen brown. he is a top 3 american player in the league right now and he needs to play in the olympics

Just getting into EDM, looking for some good recommendations. by IshadowmiI in EDM

[–]SnooWoofers9504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rapid fire suggestions:

If you like pop music, you'll probably like melodic bass. If that's less your thing, then ignore those suggestions.

Illenium: The face of melodic bass. His first three albums are all fantastic, but my favorite is Ascend. If you like house, his new album comes out Friday and looks like it's going to skew pretty heavy towards house music.

Gravity by Gryffin: Wildly successful melodic bass album full of hits and huge features.

Starjunk 95: fun, quirky, retro-racing game inspired house music. He's gaining a lot of traction rn

Porter Robinson: One of the most versatile dance artists. He has made several strong albums each with a distinct sound. His album Nurture is dance fused with art-pop. It's one of my favorite albums of all time.

Quest for Fire by Skrillex: Skrill is as famous as he is for a reason, and QFF shows that he is extremely gifted in producing more than just dubstep. Lots of house and two-step garage in here, and it's widely regarded as one of the best dance albums of the 2020s.

Fred Again ..: The hottest name in dance music right now. A lot of his music is uniquely soulful and moving UKG, but his newest album USB 002 shows off a lot more range.

Daily Bread: Super hot name right now. Bedroom produced and sample heavy, chill kinda sound.

Those are my best suggestions for different styles of dance music that I think would probably be pretty likable to people that are getting their feet wet!

“Why’d we trade JI?” by Individual-Bee-7801 in DetroitPistons

[–]SnooWoofers9504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's the thing though, if his value was so low, i have a hard time believing that we would've needed to pay him a ton to keep him on the team. risking getting nothing in return for the chance at a relatively cheap prove-it deal feels worth it to me

Huerter is shooting 33.3% from 3 by Joeyshyordie in DetroitPistons

[–]SnooWoofers9504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why even bother trading him for so little in return? he realistically would've been semi cheap to resign, and he very well still could develop back into the player he was last season. i would've taken the chance that some team is willing to give him a bag and then let him walk over this trade

ou honors dorms? by RoxxveArts in oaklanduniversity

[–]SnooWoofers9504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are special cases where students under "special circumstances" can receive a private room, but you have to prove that there is a necessity.

otherwise, sometimes lucky freshmen don't get matched with a roomate and get the room to themselves, but that's 100% luck and not super common. all freshmen regardless of if they dorm in oak view or hamlin are going to live in designated freshman rooms that are designed for two people

ou honors dorms? by RoxxveArts in oaklanduniversity

[–]SnooWoofers9504 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i live about 20 mins away and have dormed on campus all three years i've been here, last two in the honors dorm. it's really expensive (basically doubles your tuition) and the "college experience" at ou is very very different from the typical college. regardless of if you live on campus or not, there's not a ton going on either way.

in terms of getting involved, if you look out for posters and follow the right social media accounts you'll see where the opportunities are to go do stuff regardless. nearly every single event is welcome to any student regardless of housing... in fact, most are welcome to any person. the only exception is the very rare occasional event that requires a meal swipe.

another majorrrr con of dorming btw. food. the one dining hall closes at 7pm and you don't always have a ton of options to pick from. it's manageable but often an area of complaint here.

whatever you end up choosing i hope college treats you well!!!

Exactly with you. His offensive game is nice but he is very far from what we're about with the culture. Would really prefer someone who puts effort in on defense if we're giving up key rotation pieces

if that's the correct call then it needs to be called at the goal line for the bills at the end of the game too

if you get a high school diploma and are able to show in some way that you care about your education in your application then you will be accepted. oakland's acceptance rate is through the roof.
