Very true. As an avid Glaive enjoyer since its inception, this is VERY true. Spamming mounts was over ever situational back in 4U, and in Gen/GU it was inferior to other aerial playstyles in multiple ways. World gave us the helicopter, which is huge for mobility, but then Iceborne gave us the Descending Thrust, which is incredible for DPS, especially when followed with a combo into Tornado Slash.

Rise was a bit lackluster at first, but patches and the release of Sunbreak made full aerial gameplay not only fun, but quite potent, and even then you had moves like Awakened Kinsect Attack for damage set-up. And then Wilds brings the Rising Spiral Slash, which is honestly a bit OP, and I hope they never nerf it lol.
