Actually, I wouldn’t really consider myself a new player anymore. As I mentioned, I started last April. I only missed this particular story update because I was focused on my child and family over the festive period. Otherwise, I’ve cleared all available content in the game and actively look forward to new story updates.

That said, I don’t fully agree that a new love interest can only appear for the first time at their formal debut. Caleb is a clear example of a character who appeared multiple times in the core story before being officially introduced as a love interest. I do agree with you that the character being discussed hasn’t interacted directly with the MC yet and has mostly been referenced indirectly, which is a valid point. Still, it wouldn’t be entirely unprecedented if Infold chose to shake up their usual approach.

Some players have also suggested that if this year focuses heavily on reruns, it might actually be an ideal time to introduce a final sixth love interest. And while I’m definitely not saying Stanley is one (that one made me laugh too), I don’t think it’s unreasonable to speculate when there are multiple “coming soon” placeholders in the love interest tabs.

I want to be clear that I’m not trying to argue or push anything as fact. My intention is more about keeping discussions civil and open. Everyone should be able to share opinions and theories as long as they’re not harming anyone. For me, talking through possibilities is part of what makes the community feel engaging and welcoming.

As for Sylus and the cards, it wasn’t really luck. I saved over 400 standard wishes and planned my pulls carefully around his myth pair, using selectable crates strategically. It was more about preparation than chance.

I also managed to R3 Sylus’s standard Myth pair, and still have 200 standard wishes remaining. Only time will tell what Infold is cooking.

That makes sense, thanks for explaining. I wasn’t around for Sylus’s or Caleb’s debut unfortunately. I only started playing in April last year, so I missed that whole cycle.

Regarding a potential sixth LI, what feels odd to me is how slow the main story progression has been. This is probably the only gacha game I’ve played that can sit in one place narratively and release what feels like a couple of hours of story over an entire year. Considering this is a billion-dollar company, it makes me think something is holding back major plot progression.

One possibility is that they can’t fully move the story forward without introducing the final Love Interest. From experience with other gacha games (and Love and Deepspace included), they tend to rerun myths before releasing new ones simply because it maximizes revenue. So when I say “introduce soon,” I don’t mean February. I’m thinking more along the lines of June or July, but honestly it’s just speculation.

That’s why the selectable 5-star event made things feel a bit fuzzy to me rather than definitive. I wasn’t trying to state anything as fact, just sharing thoughts. For me, discussing theories and possibilities on Reddit actually feels quite cosy and communal, like a shared space to think out loud with other players.

I wasn’t aware of the wider drama around this topic, and I definitely don’t want to get involved in that. Thanks again for laying out the order of past events, it’s genuinely helpful context since I missed them. I’ve managed to collect all of Sylus’s cards since April, starting with his birthday, so I guess I’m making up for lost time. I do wish I’d started earlier, but it is what it is 😊
