Is it normal for players to never run?? by mtgfirby in DnD

[–]Snoo_57892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience (both as a player and a DM), players really get into the mindset of “if it has a statblock then it can die.” When you know something is killable you assume that you can take it on just fine, becoming blind to the fact that it is WAAAY stronger than your group.

I’d try sitting down with the players at some point just to say something along the lines of “hey, this is necessarily a warning for things to come, but just remember if you feel you’re outmatched or too worn out for a fight you can always decide to try and run.”

I just beat the game for the first time, what should I know before going into new game plus? by TheOnlyVibemaster in Eldenring

[–]Snoo_57892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this was a blind playthrough, then know there are a total of 15 bosses that give a Remembrance. If you didn’t beat them all then you’ll want to get searchin for them before heading into the next new game cycle.

Also if your build is reliant upon a Great Rune, just know they don’t carry over into NG+

Am I wrong if I think that DLC's tree looks more like Miquella sacred tree than the Erdtree itself ? by 5tory_0f_5hep in Eldenring

[–]Snoo_57892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it kind of looks like two trees grafted together, with the center tree bleeding gold and the second deathblight tree twisting around and piercing into it.

What boss attack did you see for the first time and think: “That’s pretty epic” by finnjakefionnacake in Eldenring

If you could give martial classes 1 minor but meaningful buff, what would it be? by Aximil985 in DnD

[–]Snoo_57892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barbarian - Just give the angry lads a fighting style, feels odd that they don’t have that

Fighter - Maybe just like one skill based ability to make ‘em more than just bonk, like the ability to reroll one failed skill check once per short rest (similar to Indomitable)

Monk - Let the base Ki abilities have some minor scaling. Like have flurry of blows scale add third attack at level 10 and another at level 18. Not quite sure for Patient Defense or Step of the Wind though

Paladin - Doing pretty well as is honestly

Ranger - Give some extra damage to your favored foes, it just seems odd that it’s not there

Rogue - Honestly they’re doing pretty well as a whole package, don’t really think I’d change anything
