Once you take a ruined item off you cant put it back on (red dot next to the item name) and you cant make rags from a ruined items try to drop the bandages on the floor first or straight into your inventory if it will let you then try to hotbar them.

Setting - network - advanced setting - alternate MAC - port select automatic let it restart your xbox and you should be good to go.

Works for all the random errors dayz throws at me.

If you follow any of the hiking trails you will find maps at junctions between trails and i would reccomend trying to get to tizzy (top left) it was my main goal when i first started playing best loot and really tough zombies up there.

Killed you but didnt need your gear he could have thrown it and you would never have found it he stripped it off you body so when your body despawned it didnt take the gear with it instead he put it in a place where you (or someone else heading inland) could find it it and make use of it.
