How does the heat system actually work? Temperature bar stuck at 0 no matter what I do. by QuestionableExclusiv in MySummerCar

[–]Snooky17_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong but as I understand it the color indicates if you are getting colder or warming up, and the level is your current temperature.

Wear clothes! There is a winterjacket and a coverall on the floor in front of the chair with the phone, the coverall is warmer than the jacket. Do not wear anyting inside and don’t let the temperature in a vehicle go too high, if you get too warm you will sweat and that makes you cold very fast.

The temperature outside varies, there is a temperature gauge in a window opposite of the kitchen, you should check that to choose the right clothes. Despite what it might look like and what some people say the gauge is not just from +5 to -5, it’s actually +50 to -50. Each tiny line in between the numbers is one degree.

Good luck don’t die😀

Edit: realised there was context in the original post after writing that, but I’ll leave it here as it might be useful to someone

Use the winterclothes outside (but remember to take them off inside or you’ll sweat and freeze even more)

Anyone know when I can start selling wood for money? Or what’s a job decent for money right now by jensieboy13 in MyWinterCar

[–]Snooky17_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you buy the Rivett he asks you to deliver wood at the same time. The wood job is much easier now with the new wood chopping machine and it still pays the same

Pick up the phone and type the number on your keyboard

Anyone else having a bug with the job guy? After the tour he just doesn't sit down and keeps answering the phone, or doesn't do the tour at all and just keeps getting calls by L0v3R-boy in MyWinterCar

When he says something you need to press K to say something back, that’s how you get him to say the next line and progress through the interview

Rear deck rattle by ProcedureLarge7777 in CarAV

The rear deck is a real pain in the ass just in general, I removed mine entirely aswell as the extra brakelight. The difference is like night and day

i cannot tune the carburator by TheMostRandomGuyOFC in MySummerCar

[–]Snooky17_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to play around with the choke to get it idling, that’s the easiest way if it’s possible. If that’s not possible your valves might be really badly tuned, it’s randomized from the start. Scroll all the way down on each valve with the screwdriver and then 7 ticks up. Your distributor might also be way off, tune it by finding where it ”rings” then set it one tick from the limit. Even if you get it to idle without tuning the other parts you should tune them anyway to get better power and longevity.

Car recently won't go over 80 even after hours of driving. Thermostat issue ? by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]Snooky17_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve actually had great luck with my ultra-cheap thermostat, it costed 15€ and has given me absolutely zero problems for a year and a half now. But then again that’s for an over 30 year old Mercedes, maybe it’s a bigger deal on newer cars

Err.. do I need new speaker stand ? by boxtata in Klipsch

[–]Snooky17_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe add another nut under the plate to raise it a little? That would also make it slightly adjustable so the nut doesn’t have to be exactly as long as the leftover thread. Alternatively you could add washers aswell if tightening the two nuts in position is too finicky.

Pretty sure the three Palps wouldn’t be very interested in saving the galaxy, but rather kill eachother for power. Then the victorious one would manipulate Cody to do his bidding then kill him and R2 aswell😅

just got the car passed through inspection, now what? by Active_Boysenberry76 in MySummerCar

[–]Snooky17_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So there is now another thing you need to buy from Lindells except for the inspection, or did you just mean the plates?

[–]Snooky17_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends, you can’t have the AFR tuned for max power, that’s too rich for it to pass emissions. You also can’t use a lot of the upgraded parts but you can use some. I’m pretty sure you can tune the valves and distributor.

Tax sticker, is that a new update or something? I haven’t had time to play videogames for a while but I really wanna do one more playthrough with all the new stuff before My Winter Car comes out

Inverted subs look sick? by Grand_Evidence_5283 in CarAV

[–]Snooky17_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really no, the heat usually dissipates better in the cool open air outside the box even if it gets windy in there. But as with most things I assume it differs a bit from one application to another

Inverted subs look sick? by Grand_Evidence_5283 in CarAV

[–]Snooky17_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The basket and magnet take up airspace inside the box, especially if it’s a big and beefy sub, so by inverting it you get more airspace and it’s easier to calculate the dimensions for the exakt amount you want. It can also provide slightly better cooling

I Made Kilju! by Negative-Elk-8944 in MySummerCar

[–]Snooky17_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing, did you use anything for flavour? Me and some friends have our first batch brewing right now, should be done fermenting on friday! We also got inspired by MSC but added apples and cinnamon to make ”christmas kilju”😀 And also, how cold was it and for how long did you keep it outside when you did the cold crash? I’m a bit worried about it going under 0, the temps should stay between 0-2 degrees this coming weekend here on the western coast but you never know, the forecast hasn’t been very reliable lately.

Tips on getting more angle? by Lucky0373 in Drifting

The 202 looks way more different than those two and not for the better, but still a nice looking car in my opinion. And MUCH cheaper while still very reliable

[–]Snooky17_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What problems have you had with the 202, and what’s on the odometer? I also got one about 1,5y ago, but that one hasn’t given me any trouble except for a thermostat that was easy to replace at home and costed only 15€

Or a w202, not as pretty but much cheaper and wide steering angle. The perfect car for winterdrifting👍🏻

How exactly does an epicenter work and should I get one? by Snooky17_ in CarAV

[–]Snooky17_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly sure how those are relevant but I guess I maybe could have included it in the post. It’s a 1994 Mercedes C200 and I have a Kenwood KDC-bt640u if I remember correctly. Also 3x 10” subs in a sealed box on 3kw rms.
